Welcome to Auke Bay Motor Lodge: hip, modern, newly remodeled boutique (mostly) motel style units in the heart of Auke Bay. You will be within a three-minute drive to the Auke Bay Ferry Terminal!
Our brand-new units boast elevated furnishings from Article, West Elm, Room & Board as well as other higher-end stores. You will also find beautiful Delta or Elkay plumbing fixtures and the majority of our light fixtures are from Schoolhouse Electric (made in Portland, OR). Our units are thoughtfully designed with modern yet timeless materials.
You`ll have the best views in Juneau, all day every day. The apartment is located within a mixed-use building in the heart of Auke Bay, about a 20-minute drive from downtown Juneau. The building also hosts multiple restaurants, salons, bar (located at the opposite end of the building), a newly opened art gallery showcasing Alaskan artists, as well as a laundromat. Next door is a brewery/restaurant and yoga studio. You will also be right across the street from Statter Harbor where you can rent kayaks, and where the majority of Juneau`s summertime excursions, whale watch tours and fishing charters begin.
Amenities include:
-Helix mattresses
-Brooklinen 100% cotton percale hotel linens
-Iio refrigerator
-Public Goods soaps
-Nespresso machine & pods
-Pour over coffee + electric kettle
-Heat + A/C units (very uncommon in Juneau)
-Crossley Bluetooth Speaker
-Record Player
Our building is located on a somewhat busy road so there will be some road noise. Noise is minimal during nighttime. All curtains in the unit are sound deadening (and blackout for Alaska`s long summer days) and there is a sound machine provided.
The apartment is located on the second floor of our building and accessed by stairs.
We are currently working on an exterior remodel of our building. We made quite a bit of headway during 2024 but still have some work to do, so you will see some areas of our building where its age is showing. Always remember it`s what`s on the inside that counts ;-)

All was well and just as stated. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay out of the crowds in downtown.

The unit was as described and immaculate. Everything we needed was there. Erin was very easy to contact with any questions. As stated in the description the exterior of the building the unit was in was being updated while we were there. Erin was there multiple days working on painting the exterior of the building. Can’t say enough about how nice our stay was. Erin thank you for sharing your place with us.

Apartment was wonderful! Fun decor and delightful touches like faux retro appliances and a record player that looked old but wasn’t, complete with an appropriately eclectic selection of albums. Our grown kids loved the hideaway bunk beds, and our bed was very comfortable. As advertised, the outside of the property looks like the old motel that I suspect it was, but do not judge this book by its cover. A special spot, and Erin could not have been nicer to work with and easier to contact. Highly recommend!
