The Shoresound is an independent cottage on the beach, inside a small private residence consisting of three villas, forty meters apart, with private access to the sea.
Characterized by elements of architectural trend and by a sober elegance of the furnishings, the house is designed in a successful combination of refined tradition and modernity, halfway between a Parisian foyer and a fisherman's house from the beginning of the century.
Fully air-conditioned, it's internally composed of two double bedrooms, with latex-memory foam mattresses, each with en suite bathroom, living room with kitchenette complete with all accessories, and dining area, another outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, surrounded by a veranda around green and sand, lounge area, satellite TV, microwave, Nespresso machine, sand solarium and a small swimming pool - mini pool for two or four people, High Speed Satellite Wi-fi available on request.
Renovated with the most modern criteria in 2017 but built with the ancient knowledge of the Sicilian fishing villages, it is located a few meters from the shore, with a sea view around and directly bordering the beach.
Nestled between the bay of Marza and a small village, Granelli - located a few kilometers from Marzamemi and Pachino, overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean Sea - and the naturalistic oasis, a large natural gulf bordered to the east by Punta Ulisse, so called perhaps in reference to the fact that the Homeric hero landed here during his wandering around the Mediterranean Sea, and the Pantani Longarini and Cuba, an environmental heritage that has one of the most interesting factors in biodiversity, bird watching possible in the area . The Shoresound is made taking into account the strictest principles of environmental respect, perfectly inserted in the context between nature, greenery and sea, exploiting all the potential of the property and the territory and scrupulously respecting its history and destination without changing its shape, perfectly integrating the interior and exterior which are both livable and enjoyable at the same time, each with its differences, the internal part for approximately 45 m2, the external part for approximately 400; the exterior consists of 120 square meters of walkable and equipped veranda, 80 square meters of veranda in a green area and 300 square meters of sand garden with native vine overlooking the sea and solarium area, all in a charming atmosphere.
Ideal for four people, it can possibly accommodate up to six: the four places of the two double bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom, it is possible to add two beds with the use of the sofa beds in the living room. It has two parking spaces.

The place is spectacular from two points of view.
The first is the location, the house is literally on a beach in southern Sicily, with fine sand and shallow waters up to tens of meters into the sea. It's also very quiet, you can hear and feel the sea ALL the time.
And second - it's the house and the yard, which is really a fine example of good taste and craftsmanship. Good design/architecture and everything you need to take a break from the world. It is a place to connect with beauty, simplicity, nature, together with loved ones and with oneself.
We loved the fact that most of the stuff was handmade but in a very contemporary and also traditional way. The outdoor beds are perfect and we loved the ceiling fans in every room (there is also air conditioning, but we didn't use it). There is a large supermarket 12 minutes by car, open all week until 8.30 pm. And you can visit the medieval fishing village Mazarmemi, or the majestic historic center of Noto (UNESCO heritage) in 15-25 minutes by car.
We really had a good feeling in our hearts while living there and we would recommend the place with 100% confidence to anyone.

A beautiful place right on a wonderful and uncrowded beach. Lots of outdoor space with options for shade and sun throughout the day, including a little bench to catch the last rays and watch the sunset. Flexible and friendly key handover with great comms and even a nice welcome pack. Recommended.

There was a hitch on our arrival as the villa needed some work done on blocked drains from a previous guest, but Ettore made excellent arrangements for us to stay at a nearby hotel for the first night, which had a pool etc. The villa is only about 50 metres from the sea, which is gently shelving, it takes about 50 ft to get up to your waist, so it was very safe for my seven and three year old grandchildren. They had the beach to themselves to make sand castles and play. There were only a few other people there staying at nearby villas. The beds were comfortable with all the amenities you would want. We ate outside at the table in the evenings and had no trouble from insects. I would recommend this villa to anyone.
