This spectacular 5 bedroom plus loft home features unparalleled craftsmanship. Resting on Nearly 12 acres, this private 3 story hand-crafted log home features sky high ceilings, intricate woodwork, wrap around porch, walk out balconies and a bar entertainment room to bring everyone together.
Nightly rate is priced for 10 guests. We offer your kids under 5 years-old to stay for free. Therefore, do not include under 5-year-olds in the reservation page, an extra guest fee will accrue for parties over 10 total. But please communicate with the owner regarding how many kids you have under 5 years old. Please be honest.
Activities at the house (or real close)
•There’s plenty of outdoor furniture on the wrap around decks. Sit back, relax, and enjoy abundant wildlife! Deer and wild turkeys hang out often in the yard.
•Gaming area has Cable TV, movies, board games, Toys, treadmill, foosball table.
•Outdoor games - we have a fun selection of outdoor games stored in the bin by the garage
•Gas and wood fire pits (but follow house rules)
•Our favorite hike which is super close (4 mi to the trailhead) and is a hit with the kids and anybody who wants to cool off in the water hole on a hot day. Easy family friendly half mile hike. Pictured in our photos.

oGeorge Mickelson Trail (Harach Park Trailhead) - The Mickelson Trail is a converted railbed that passes through the heart of the Black Hills. The majority of the trail does not exceed 4% grade, and the relatively hard packed crushed aggregate surface make it appropriate for bicycles of all types except road bikes with skinny tires. The trail is suitable for all ages and abilities. Hikers and horseback riders are the other predominant trail users.

This was a great place for our extended family of ten adults. It’s roomy, well maintained, and has a homey feeling. It’s well furnished with more than the usual amenities. There is plenty of room to spread out. It’s well furnished with board games and small gathering or private areas. We were there a week. We preordered a Walmart grocery pick up and went there straight from the airport on the way to the lodge. We ate breakfast at home, picnicked a couple of days and actually cooked two evening meals. The kitchen is well equipped. It’s centrally located for visits to Mount Rushmore, Crazy House, Custer State Park, Deadwood, and Sturgis. We made day trips in every direction. It’s a wonderful vacation area. Our granddaughter who is in construction noticed small touches I might not have. She was most impressed with the physical facilities. For example, the custom doors on the front room are simple but beautiful. . The light fixtures, twisted tree hand rails, beautiful flooring, varied and interesting decor all blend nicely.. Good WiFi. good value for the money. It’s off the main road and easily accessible. Outside we saw deer, a flock of turkeys and resident bunnies.

Excellent cabin for a small family reunion/vacation.We had 17 ppl (8 adults and 9 grandchildren)Absolutely beautiful and amazing cabin.So much to around the area.We enjoyed evenings at the cabin.Adults and kiddos playing outside.Playground equipment.We highly recommend this property!

Our group enjoyed this home to the fullest. It was spectacular from sunup to sundown. It was conveniently located to all the beautiful places to go like Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Badlands, Custer Park, Dervil's Tower, Spearfish, Sturgis and much more. The weather was perfect. I just can't say enough about this home. If you want to come to South Dakota stay here, you will not regret it. The group from North Carolina.
