pet-friendly lakefront vacation home nestled in the Catskill Mountains.
Lake Jeff Cottage is located on a small, private road in the town of Jeffersonville, New York.
Lake Jeff is a small, private, non-motorized lake where guests enjoy fishing, rowing, and kayaking from this peaceful lakefront property.
About the size of the iconic lake in Central Park, Lake Jeff offers the same intimate, storybook charm; only here, it’s private, and there's no crowds.
Like Central Park’s lake, Lake Jeff is prized for its scenic beauty, boating, fishing, and abundant wildlife rather than swimming. Its gentle, shallow waters are perfect for fishing and leisurely paddles, where you can glide quietly across the lake, watch for soaring eagles and other wildlife, and enjoy the tranquility of the Catskills.
For your enjoyment, we provide two kayaks and a rowboat during your stay.

Jeffersonville is a charming small town with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a warm sense of community.
While quaint in size, you’ll find a surprising variety of local conveniences, including a supermarket, casual restaurants, bar, bakery, pizzeria, an amazing diner, ice cream shop, café, gift shop, gas station, and salon, among other services.
We encourage our guests to take a stroll through town, support the local businesses, and experience the friendly character that makes Jeffersonville such a special part of the Catskills.

If you're a homebody seeking a little R&R, you'll love the peace and tranquility the cottage offers. Outdoor fire pit, rowing, lounge chairs, birding and fishing can be enjoyed right on the property. No need to go anywhere. Just sit back and enjoy the view.
If you prefer day tripping, our area of the Catskills offers a plethora of options including arts and entertainment, swimming, horseback riding, fly fishing, an indoor water park, golfing, and a casino, among other attractions. We have local breweries and distilleries and some amazing restaurants, for you to enjoy. All within a short drive from the cottage.
Accessibility & Safety Considerations:
One of the things guests love most about Lake Jeff Cottage is its unique hillside setting overlooking the lake.
Built into the natural landscape, the cottage’s multi-level design, natural stone terraces, and elevated position create sweeping panoramic lake views throughout the property and offer a truly one-of-a-kind lakeside experience.
Because of the unique setting, and varying levels of elevation, there are numerous unenclosed terraces, stairs, steps, and natural stone surfaces. The grounds surrounding the cottage may contain uneven stones, gaps, and changes in elevation that could present tripping and fall hazards.
Due to these conditions, the property may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues, young children, or those seeking a flat, fully enclosed outdoor space or wide open fields.
Guests assume responsibility for navigating the property safely and are advised to exercise caution throughout their stay.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in our home with prior approval. Two dogs maximum. You will be responsible for any additional cleaning or repairs to our home or property as a result of your pets behavior.

This is a hidden gem of a property. The layout of the house is great for keeping your group together with the kitchen and living area side by side and the patio with an amazing view of the lake right out the door behind the house. The location is even better if you're a fisherman or kayaker! We caught many species of fish including large mouth bass near 4LBs and had a great time exploring the "river" portion of the lake all the way down to the Briscoe Rd bridge where a small biplane took off and landed what felt like 50ft over our heads. There's excellent bald Eagle activity right out the back door as well which lead to some of the best eagle pictures I've taken. We stayed on a warm June weekend, but the abundance of air conditioners in the house was the relief we needed from our long fishing sessions in the sun. We were also able to watch Knicks win a championship during our stay which was just gravy on top of an already outstanding experience. You should certainly take advantage of an opportunity to stay at this property! We've rented more than 20 properties on Vrbo and they're not all places we'd repeat, but this definitely one that we would. Thank you for a great experience, Ann!!

The home is perfect! The homeowner is wonderful, the weather was bad and if it wasn’t for the amazing home the weekend would’ve been miserable.

We had a wonderful stay! The lake cottage was the perfect family getaway. Such a cozy space for a multigenerational family. The host was very responsive and the instructions made for an easy stay. Great way to ring in the new year!
