Welcome to the “Antiche atmosfere…” residence…!
We’re Alessandra and Flavio, and we’d like to give you a brief introduction.
If you’re looking to take a trip back in time without giving up the comforts of modern life, you’ve found the right place!
The house has been renovated while preserving the characteristics of the area’s traditional rural homes; therefore, as soon as you step through the door, you’ll find yourself transported back in time and enveloped by the warmth and coziness that emanates from the wood—the predominant material in the home.
Antiche atmosfere... is located in a hilly area, 600 meters above sea level, in the Ligurian Apennines, in a sunny and peaceful setting. It’s strategically situated, not far from both the highest peaks of Liguria and the beaches of the Gulf of Tigullio.
In the vicinity of the house, there are numerous trails to explore by bike (in this regard, “Antiche atmosfere...” offers a free, lockable room on the first floor of the property—accessible directly by bike—where you can store one or more bicycles) and for hiking, leading to enchanting places with breathtaking views.
There are also traditional trattorias where you can enjoy local specialties and ancient villages steeped in history.
Well worth visiting in the immediate vicinity of the vacation home are the ruins of the ancient church in the woods dating back to the year 1000—S. Martino di Licciorno—the iron-rich spring with its distinctive taste and organoleptic characteristics that make it unique in Liguria, the Abbey of Borzone, an Italian national monument and one of the FAI’s “Places of the Heart”; the “Pietra Borghese,” shrouded in mystery; the megalithic face of Christ, the largest rock sculpture in Europe; the lakes of Giacopiane; and much more.
Antiche atmosfere... offers guests interested in spending time at the beach (as a temporary alternative to the tranquility of the countryside) a parking space in a private, enclosed area located on the Chiavari waterfront (Piazzetta dei Pescatori area).
