We absolutely loved our stay here. A beautiful home, great open air gathering spaces throughout, and right on Playa Grande. 100% plan the be back with the family in the future!

We loved the property but based on the pictures and seeing the actual property, the property was much older than it appeared. The pictures reflected the pool was right outside but was actually on the adjacent property. We did have a few issues starting on the first night. The shower from the room above leaked badly into the bedroom below. After speaking with Management this has been an ongoing issue for sometime and based on our conversation, that specific building had once been a hotel and was going to have some major updates. Management did move us over to the adjacent building, which was still under construction. While it was nicer, we were on a family trip (group of 11), we were slightly inconvenienced. Unfortunately, more issues came up (I.e. an empty propane bottle, kitchen sink constantly leaked under the counter, and another 2nd floor bathroom shower leaked into the kitchen below). Overall, the property suited our needs with direct access to the beach and able to spend time in the water and watch all the surfers right outside the back doors. The Staff and Management were wonderful regardless of our issues.

Major plusses: 1.Perfect location, a few steps from a beautiful, uncrowded, wide and long sand beach with rolling surf but separated from the more frenetic Tamarindo tourist scene by a 2 fifty-yard boat taxi across a tidal estuary. Gorgeous views 2. Large sparkling-clean swimming pool surrounded by subtropical gardens. 3. Spacious beach house that easily accommodated our 8 person family, with extra bedrooms and bathrooms, and second floor sitting area open to the Pacific view and breezes. 4. Unfailingly prompt, efficient and helpful concierge Cher—a great resource for booking excursions, obtaining info on the surrounding area, and helping with the minor maintenance issues that cropped up. 5.Security service was present but completely unobtrusive—area was safe. 6. Beds were comfortable and a/c functioned week in bedrooms with no issues (common areas are not air conditioned). 7. Staff was always pleasant.Kitchen could benefit from some updating, but was spacious. Updated photos would show some changes on the property from the ones shown now.
