Welcome to the Southwinds Summer Retreat at Sea Colony! Check out the reviews by the families who have stayed with us -- you will not be disappointed! Click on the availability calendar, which is always kept up-to-date.
Look at the pictures and see why we can offer you the perfect getaway for any season. The beach is not just for summer anymore. Come see why Travel & Leisure Magazine named Bethany Beach on of their Best Secret Beaches.
Our Southwinds Summer Retreat is a second floor Veranda located in a quiet section of the Sea Colony resort, and within walking distance to the fitness center, several pools, and the beach. There is also a seasonal shuttle that will take you to and from the beach and other parts of the resort, and parking privileges on a first come, first serve basis on the ocean side of the resort.
The condo has a large, screened, wraparound porch, and comfortably sleeps eight. It has been renovated to include modern furnishings, coordinated artwork, and a fully-stocked kitchen.
As a guest of Sea Colony, enjoy the aquatic center, fitness center, tennis center, playground, walking paths, and one-half mile of guarded, private beach.
Enjoy the beach, splash in one of the 12 pools, play tennis on one of the 32 tennis courts, or just chill out with a cocktail on the wraparound porch.
We have a pack and play and umbrella stroller for your use so you don't have to lug them on your trip. All guests at Sea Colony are required to pay a Recreational Association fee (check the Sea Colony website for current rates).
All renters must bring their own linens and towels, but there are also linen services available as an alternative. We can provide you with additional information if you are interested.

We had a great time in Bethany! The house was perfect for a family of four - loved that we could put our little kids in their own rooms at night and be able to use the living space without waking them. It was easy to get to the beach both by tram and driving our own car. The neighborhood splash pad and pool were also awesome for the kids. We'll be back for sure!

Our family stayed here over the 4th of July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean, fully stocked with everything we needed and the owner was super responsive. Plenty of room in the unit including a lot of space in the upstairs loft where our three children preferred to sleep. The screened in porch was very spacious and we utilized it thoroughout our trip. We rented bikes including one tag-along beach gear carrier to lug everything back and forth to the beach, which I would recommend. You can walk to the beach from here, but biking made it more enjoyable for us. Thanks Tom!

We had a fantastic trip to Tom’s beach property. It’s located in Sea Colony which offers so many great amenities. The kids loved taking the tram to the beach and using all the pools in the property including the big slash pad at the aquatic center.
The condo was great for us. We really enjoyed having a big screened in deck. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Bathrooms were a good size. Two bath tubs for bathing the little ones. We will definitely book here next summer!
