Macaulay Cottage is a traditional 4 bedroom stone built house set in the beautiful surroundings of the Golden Road in the village of Grosebay.
Fully furnished 2 storey house sleeping up to 7 people. Lower floor features dining room, sitting room, kitchen, one twin bedroom, one single bedroom and toilet with shower. Upper floor features 2 double bedrooms and bathroom with shower. Electric heating in most of the rooms.
Dogs are welcome at Macaulay cottage.
Only 2 minutes from the sea where otters and seals can be seen playing. Wildlife enthusiasts may be interested in eagle sightings in the area. Ideal base for hillwalking, fishing, golf or just a peaceful and relaxing holiday. A 20 minute drive from the famous sandy beaches of Harris. Local attractions include Harris Tweed, distillery, art galleries and trips to St Kilda.

Spotlessly clean and spacious with everything we could want. Our dog loved the garden, part manicured and part rocky, just super. Seating areas and a suntrap. Delightful meeting with the hosts mum, what a lovely lady. The wine, eggs and flowers were extra special touches. The very peaceful location with great views, and only a short drive from Tarbert.

Lovely host & family, very clean house, nice quiet location. It was just we'd hoped for. One extremely minor suggestion hardly worth mentioning(!): add a few more mugs to the crockery draw.

Everything was perfect. My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage and exploring the area. We appreciated the warm welcome!
