Located in the old village in the very centre of Olonzac, this charming three-story house in a quiet market corner off the Hotel de Ville Square has been tastefully decorated in modern style, whilst incorporating french elements throughout. One can see the Tuesday markets take place from the double glazed windows of the property with its excellent location. This property is lovely and bright having windows on both sides and is exceptionally well maintained, being refurbished often since its many successful years of being the most popular rental property in Olonzac. It accommodates 2 easily with its simple layout, can sleep 4 with the 2 bedrooms, and has a comfy convertible couch should you need the extra guests.
From the front door you enter a tiled hallway with the modern kitchen/dining room to the left. The kitchen is excellently equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, and a cooker. All basic kitchen products are supplied. There is a LCD flat screen TV to entertain whilst cooking. There is crockery, cutlery and seating ready for 4. To the right of the hallway is a separate toilet to the main bathroom upstairs, and also a utility room for storage of bikes or baggage.
Going up a spiral stairway to the 2nd floor, there is a very large double bedroom, bathroom with shower next door to the bedroom, and another separate toilet. There is a washing machine with powder supplied for your clothes.
On the 3rd floor, there is another bedroom opening up from the living room with a double bed and inbuilt wardrobe. The bright living room with a 2nd flat screen TV has a comfy corner couch that can be converted to another double bed should more bedding be required. There are additional chairs, satellite television (english spoken channels including the BBC), and DVD player. Doors lead from here onto a delightful rooftop terrace overlooking the village rooftops. Being completely private, one can sun bake here with all day sunshine. There is a BBQ, outdoor furniture and chairs to seat 4.
All rooms have electric heating for the winter months. Quality linens and towels are supplied at no extra cost.

This is a super house right in the centre, with some lovely walks to neighbouring villages. Easy access to Homps and the lake. Well equipped with everything you need. House is set on three levels with a lovely terrace right at the top accessed by a narrow central spiral staircase. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely return.

The apartment in Olonzac was very comfortable, quiet and well located, with the Tuesday farmer's market just down the alley from the apartment. Olonzac is situated near Carcassonne, several stunning Cathar castles, national parks, wineries, and the beach at Narbonne. We were here for 3 weeks during the fall and never lacked for something interesting and fun to do.
I can't say enough about our host, Derek Chapple. He was the most helpful, solicitous, welcoming and responsive host I've had. He lives in the area and knows it well. We met with him to talk about things to do and see and he gave us numerous local leads for places to visit, hike, kayak, eat and much more.

Well furnished, very convenient location, market every Tuesday, a must see:)
We stayed a long time and the place was more than welcoming.
The host is very communicative and very helpful.

We had a fabulous 2 weeks in a wonderful place! The house is perfect, the weather was gorgeous and the countryside stunning. Olonzac suited us perfectly, with its own bustling markets, and a central location for exploring the surrounding region.
Thank you very much for the service and hospitality, all the facilities were super and we will be back next year.
