Welcome to The Courtyard Cottage, where tranquility and comfort embrace you amidst the beautiful landscape of the Vendée region.
Accommodation: Our picturesque cottage welcomes up to 6 guests, providing ample space for families or small groups. Bedroom 1 comprises a double bed and 2 single beds, accompanied by a private bathroom, while Bedroom 2 offers a double bed. The main bathroom presents a bathtub and separate shower, ensuring convenience for all. A fully equipped kitchen, boasting modern amenities including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, and gas cooker, invites culinary adventures. Transition to the sunlit conservatory, leading to a patio and fenced garden, offering a relaxing setting for outdoor repose. The lounge area, with original wooden beams and a stone bread oven, features a widescreen TV for entertainment. Throughout the cottage, ceramic tiled floors enhance the ambiance of spaciousness and comfort. Complimentary wifi and private parking are provided for guests' convenience.
Facilities: Our grounds are adorned with an array of amenities catering to guests of all ages. Immerse yourself in the heated swimming pool or unwind on poolside loungers. Children are delighted by the playground, boasting swings, a trampoline, and a slide, while the games room beckons with table tennis, table football, and billiards table. A selection of books is on hand for leisurely moments. Guests are invited to explore the manor grounds and indulge in outdoor dining with the provided BBQ facilities.
Local Attractions: Nestled within the grounds of a 16th-century bourgeois manor, our cottage serves as an ideal base for exploring the historic treasures of the Vendée region. Nearby attractions include the renowned Puy du Fou medieval theme park, Futuroscope multimedia theme park, and Karting in La Roche-sur-Yon. Nature enthusiasts can relish gondola-style boat trips in the Marais Poitevin marshes or delve into history with visits to Château de la Guignardière and Château Tiffauges, or enjoy family adventures at Indian Forest and O'Gliss waterpark. Outdoor enthusiasts are spoiled for choice with activities like horse riding, mountain biking, and golf, amidst charming villages and vineyards.
Local Amenities: The nearby village of Monsireigne, a mere 10-minute stroll away, offers essential conveniences including a pharmacy, doctor's surgery, post office, and shop. St. Prouant enchants with its delightful bakery and scenic walking trails, inviting guests to explore the charms of the local community on foot or by bicycle.

We had an amazing week in the beautiful Courtyard cottage. The property is wonderfully rustic, spacious, very clean and we all felt instantly relaxed and at home. Eleanor and Tom were on hand to settle us in and advise on places to see in the area. The gite is completely private with a great size outdoor patio and garden. The BBQ was clean and we used it most nights enjoying dinner alfresco. The games room was fab and a real hit with the kids (14 & 10), the pool was also a winner and never crowded and the outdoor play area was also great, rabbits and turkeys for company! The surrounding area is stunning, 25 mins to Poy du Fou which is a must visit, plenty of supermarkets within a 10-15 min drive. All in all, we didn’t want to leave which is always a great indicator. If you want a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Vendee region, I cannot recommend this place more. Thank you Eleanor and Tom for a wonderful stay

We loved the pool and going to feed Kiera the pig, and Tom and Ellie were really helpful and kind. The kids really enjoyed playing on the go-kart, trampoline and in the playhouse, would definitely recommend :-)

Excellent gite. Very good facilities on site especially if you have young children. The pool is brilliant, safely fenced and nice and warm. The site is very safe for children. The hosts Tom and Eleanor are lovely and immediately help with any queries. I would definitely book the gite again in future if travelling to the Vendee area.

The owners are very nice and helpful. There was a smell from the sewer which was directly picked up by the owner. Also, two broken chairs were direclty replaced. The gite is connected to a nice old farmhouse which also houses several chambres d'hotes. Furthermore, there is a large field for camping and they also offer caravan storage. There is a big swimming pool shared with the other guests.The gite is comfortable but a bit outdated and very 'basic'. It would really benefit from a refreshment. Also, the private garden could benefit from some improvements. The site and gite have a lot of potential but it requires a bit of investment to get it to a 5/5 score.
