Awesome accomodation with so much space for our group of 20. The bedrooms were perfect for our group and beds very comfortable. The accomodation had a fully functioning kitchen for us to use. We had a catering company come in one evening and they were able to cook and use all the plates utensils etc from the well stocked kitchen. The dining area was fabulous for the large group. We made great use of the outdoor area and pool. I would highly recommend Abernethy house for a group function .

We had a wonderful weekend stay here with family. It had ample kitchen equipment, good size dinning and lounge room space for all af us to relax. The outdoor spaces were good too. I would say that there isnt 15 bedrooms there is only 14 and this needs to be updated on the website. I would definitely stay here again probably in warmer months to then take advantage of the pool.

I stayed here with my extended family, and we all had a really nice time. Lots of space and the garden was great.
It was the middle of winter, so it was quite cold, which was fine, but you have to go outside on the balcony to access the toilets and bathrooms. This isn’t clear on the property listing, so something to consider if you are going to stay in winter.
The house could do with a bit of attention, but nothing major. It’s missing a few basic things like a corkscrew, hairdryer, and enough firewood. Several appliances in the kitchen didn’t work, batteries in the remote were flat, things like that. It is old with peeling paint and a few quirks, but not uncomfortable and quite charming.
Overall a really lovely weekend.
