If you want to be right by all the local attractions but also want a little peace and quiet from the downtown noise, (and downtown can get pretty loud) this is your place! We are in Sylvan Park, a lovely historic downtown neighborhood with lots of trees, old homes and AMAZING local restaurants within walking distance including the famous Hattie B's Chicken, Slow and Low BBQ Bistro, Park Cafe, Star Bagel, Cafe Nonna Italian, Cafe Coco Italian, Miel Restaurant, Dose Coffee, Headquarters Coffee, Woodlands Vegetarian Indian, Chateau French Cuisine, Grand Cru Wines, Bro's Cajun Cuisine, Flip Burger, Avo (new raw Vegan!) the historic Wendell's Meat and 3, Bobby's Dairy Dip, Local Taco, Neighbors Pub, McCabe's Pub, M.L. Rose Pub and Restaurant, and MacDougals Chicken, plus more!
We also have a 3.8 mile paved Greenway that runs along the beautiful Richland Creek and McCabe Golf Course. The Greenway is a loop that connects our neighborhood with all the restaurants and shopping on Whitebridge Avenue. There are bike rental stations all around Nashville and one located just a few blocks from our house so you can pick up a bike and ride the Greenway or ride downtown, your choice!
We are just 8-10 minutes (4 miles) from Lower Broadway Ave honky Tonks, where you can visit the Hall Of Fame Museum, Hard Rock Cafe, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, the historic Ryman Auditorium, the Johnny Cash Museum, The Goo Goo's factory/store, Jacks Famous BBQ, The Titans Stadium and tons of other downtown attractions. The unit sleeps 2 comfortably. When more than 2 are on the reservation an air mattress can be provided upon request.
Sylvan Park is very quiet and residential. It's very walkable and a great break from the traffic and commotion of the tourist district. In less than 10 minutes you can be right in the middle of all the downtown activity, or on the beautiful Greenway enjoying a slow flowing Tennessee creek listening to birds and seeing hawks fly overhead.We are licensed by Davidson County (lic #2017081017)

Great apartment in a wonderful neighborhood!

Our host was very easy to communicate with.The location served our event/visit well. The place was nice, but we had a few issues:No hot water (not even lukewarm) for both kitchen and bath sinks, although plenty of hot water in the nice shower.Liquid hand soap items on bath and kitchen sinks were empty and no replacements available. Bath had a couple of used bottles of shampoo/conditioner, as if left by previous guests. No liquid shower soaps (not even travel size) available--luckily we brought a few. Microwave sat on top of fridge (not easy to access without a chair unless taller than 5'8 or 5'9") and had caked-on dirt.Nicely offered coffee and teas and most anything to cook and prepare food, even if just doing take-out.Housekeeping: We've stayed in many private host-homes in various parts of Nashville across last 12 yrs and have never been requested to remove bedsheets/towels to place on floor, nor take out trash, otherwise may be served with a fee, as always presumed that is housekeeping and already paid as such in the total bill when reserved said place. It was a bit off-putting and seemed unreasonable.We really liked the area and, again, the host was really nice and easy to contact. However, we would only consider staying there again if some of the issues I raised were resolved.

Came for three days for a wedding and visiting Nashville. Easy to get to all our destinations from here.
