Looking for a true cabin-in-the-woods escape? Pioneer Lodge offers the perfect place to unplug and unwind. Tucked into the forest, this cozy retreat blends rustic charm with the comforts of home, making it easy to settle in and relax from the moment you arrive. In our pet-free cabin you can enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a private hot tub for winding down after a day outdoors. Step right outside to a nearby hiking trail and explore the natural beauty that surrounds the cabin. Whether you’re planning a quiet romantic weekend or a laid-back family getaway, Pioneer Lodge is a welcoming space designed for rest, connection, and time well spent in nature.
Upstairs is the King bed accompanied with a trundle daybed with 2 twin mattresses. There is a half-bathroom as well with a wall AC unit.
Downstairs bedroom contains a Queen bed with a ceiling fan and wall AC/Heater unit. An iron and ironing board are located in the closet should you need it.
The downstairs living area contains generous seating and a sunroom, with some provided board games and space to gather together.
The kitchen is fully stocked with most things you'll need, from cooking utensils to small appliances like a microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker and drip coffee pot. We even have a slow cooker if you want to cook something while you're out all day. Plenty of dishes and table settings for the 4-6 people staying. We do not have a dishwasher, so consider bringing disposable products if you wish. There is a garbage disposal, but be aware of what goes down the drain as the cabin is on a septic system.
The cabin is equipped with high-speed WIFI, allowing you to log into your streaming accounts or play free movies through the Roku App on all our Smart Tv's located in the bedrooms and living room.
The hot tub is located out the sliding door on the deck with plenty of towels for your use. It is cleaned and chemically treated after each guest. Use caution when enjoying the hot tub and be aware of the posted rules for your safety. You will also notice plenty of seating on the deck and a charcoal grill for your use.
The outdoor fire pit is located behind the cabin in an open space area. Utilize the outdoor lighting and provided firewood, but also use caution with fire in the woods.
*ACCESSIBILITY: We would not recommend this place if you rely on a wheelchair or have difficulty with steps as there are no ramps and there is a staircase from the driveway into the cabin.
* The cabin is in the woods so you may see/hear critters and/or bears (trash must be placed in bear proof trash bin).
* Gravel Road: There is a gravel road to access the property that's drivable by all vehicles, but as with all gravel roads - there are some pot holes especially after it rains. The drive way itself is a little steep, but shouldn't be an issue (unless you're pulling a trailer). Plenty of space for 2-3 vehicles.
* AMENITIES:
We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, coffee, salt and pepper, oil, toilet paper, paper towels & trash can liners. THINK OF THESE ITEMS AS "STARTER KITS" - We recommend you bring additional items that you feel that you may need. A starter set of firewood is provided, but charcoal is not. If other guests leave items like spices or left over charcoal you are more than welcome to use them.
* The full bathroom in the cabin is downstairs, so if anyone in your group will be staying in the upstairs, be prepared to use the shower downstairs.
HOUSE RULES
No Smoking. No Parties. Quiet time is 10pm to respect our neighbors. NO PETS ALLOWED. Guest must sign Renter Agreement. Security Deposit required up to $300. Deposit to be processed by Host on guest's credit card 2 days prior to guest stay and will be held until 3 days after guest stay completes. You'll receive an email after booking to input your secure information and sign renter agreement. Security camera at front door and driveway for safety and security, do not obstruct.

Bobby is a great host! Directions were clear, check in was a breeze, Cabin was just as described clean and cozy. Communication was quick, and clear, and we had a fantastic and relaxing stay. Cool mornings on the porch drinking coffee and listening to the birds was a highlight. For any future trips to the area we would stay here again.

The hosts were very kind and communicated with us and our visit to Pioneer was enjoyable. Wish it had been for longer and less rain so we could have explored more. They offered so many interesting things to do and places to see. We can’t wait to come back to Blue Ridge and would definitely stay again. They had everything we needed and our son thought the loft bedroom was cool. The master bed up there was oversized so he had us join him there the second night and it was perfect to all be in one room. The design and space were very inviting and cozy. The hot tub was a big hit too.

The cabin was sweet and quaint. However, we wish the outside was a little cleaner as it is the first thing you see of the place. I do understand fighting pollen is always a battle but this seemed a little worse for ware. We had to clean outside in order to enjoy the porch and jacuzzi space. However it’s a great location and great price. Well decorated and comfortable.

Very beautiful cabin, everything you needed was right there. The fire pit and Jacuzzi was a hit for us. Bobby was awesome with communication, check in and out was great. Will be booking again
