What a great spot for your family when you are all about the sun, the waves, and the Outer Banks! This lovely duplex offers a private hot tub for you in a charming setting. The great room, dining and kitchen all reveal that great oceanfront view you have been dreaming about. The duplex is surprisingly spacious with four bedrooms including a king master bedroom and bath with a private deck overlooking the ocean. Granite kitchen countertops and stainless steel appliances keep it inviting for the cooks. The hot tub is on the second level deck where you can gaze at the stars. The front great room deck wraps around two sides of this east and south facing property.
There are two other full baths besides the king master bath, one on the first level by the kitchen and one on the second in the hallway. Each bedroom offers a respite with your own TV (some TV's do not have cable but are there for streaming your favorite movies, games and shows). Enjoy beach time, sun time, bring bikes so the kids can explore South Nags Head or take a very short drive up to the Outer Banks Pier (about 1 mile). You are just a few minutes from the Bodie Island Lighthouse, the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, all to the south. Take a drive north just a couple miles to reach local groceries, seafood, Jeanette's Pier, restaurants, shopping, family activities and the causeway to Historic Roanoke Island! Of course, we know what brings you here, and “Salt Therapy OBX” is right on the beach. You can't get any closer without having to use a beach chair!

We also provide a starter supply of paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and toilet paper.

The location was exceptional. That being said the beach access next to the house was shut down for the last 3 days of our stay. The city was doing work on the beach there. No other access was readily available except to go over the dunes. The check in process was not great. Check in was at 4. We got there at 4. We were unable to unlock the keyless entry using the code. We called the office. After waiting an hour they sent a tech over who changed the batteries. It still did not work. We left a slider unlocked aka took the broom stick out, upstairs. Called the next day and they came out to replace the whole device. The hot tub was great but broke down for over 24 hours of our 5 day stay. They did come out and fix that. It smelled like burning which it was. Under the house where the grill and shower are was a disaster . There was trash strewn about. We did not dare use the grill as the tank was laying next to it and it was set in the uneven sand. There were a few other broken things, corner guard on steps to outside, closet door off hinges, faucet handle needed a screw to stay attached to name a few. I realize that it is a pet friendly property but there were fur tumbleweeds going across the floor. I really don’t feel they went through the property before guests arrived. We did call the office numerous times about the keyless entry and hot tub. Wish that even half of those things had been taken care.

The house itself is really nice. Location is fantastic. We just had a few problems:1. We paid for early check in and arrive right at 1pm. The lock would not open until close to 2pm. So we sat outside and waited. We talked to the rental place (OBX Blue) on the phone to troubleshoot but that was unsuccessful. So that was a frustrating start to the trip. 2. The fridge was not cold and didn’t get cold until about 30 hours after we got there. OBX Blue brought some ice and 4 styrofoam coolers. But some food still was wasted. That was a bummer. 3. The oceanfront location was a selling point. But there was beach replenishment happening when we were there so we had to walk a ways to the next public beach access to get on the beach. With young kids and gear, that was not ideal. I wish OBX Blue had alerted us when the beach replenishment work started so we knew what to expect.
