Quiet, serene, private, secure location just minutes from city services, Ground-floor unit in 2-unit home. Close to Olympic National Park, fishing and hunting. 1.5 hours from ocean beaches. We are in the Olympic Rainshadow, an area of the Olympic Peninsula protected by Mount Olympus. Furnished with leather and hardwood furniture throughout--comfortable, homey, and family-friendly. Queen bed and 1 rollaway bed in each bedroom . Private yard with fire pit, lawn furniture, and BBQ. Bright workspace and fast wifi for traveling workers. Trees, mountains, and sky in all directions.
Susan and Jesse, your hosts, live in upper unit.
SEASONAL: Rhododendrons bloom May. Deer births in June. Lavender Festival in July.
Deer Park Retreat occupies the 1600 sq.ft. lower level, completely separate from upper level. Coded entrance through sliding glass door into family room / kitchen. Simple decor for family comfort. Comfortable leather sofa set for watching smart TV with Firestick and Amazon Prime subscription. Fully stocked kitchen with filtered water on tap.
Hallway leads to two bedrooms on either side of full bathroom. Each bedroom has a queen bed with firm memory-foam mattress, a rollaway bed, and plenty of storage and hangers. Larger bedroom has a bright office space.
Large laundry and storage room.
Optional upon request: high chair, toddler toys.
NOTES: Motorcycle club 1/2 mile away and firing range 2 miles away are occasionally heard on weekends.
We are on a septic system. Nothing can be flushed except toilet paper. "Flushable wipes" CANNOT be flushed.
You have exclusive private access to the entire lower level including laundry and large front yard. Seven acres to explore.
Guests are expected to read and honor House Rules: No parties, no smoking, no cats, no firearms, no third-party registrations, you agree to respect our septic rules.

Our only issue ( considered minor to over all experience) was we didn't feel comfortable walking too far from house(entrance) due to high (almost knee high) grass. There were a few deer (4 counted) who came around frequently and our concern was Ticks. There was a bee hive and chickens we would have visited but did not due to the grass. In past a bad experience with Ticks. Otherwise we loved our stay.

Welcoming home in rural setting - clean, friendly host. Great spot to rest when visiting the national park and surrounding area. Will be returning at some point in the future with our next trip out west.

The place was amazing! It was very comfortable, clean, and there was a wonderful view of the mountains.
