What was once a 1950s one-room schoolhouse has been beautifully transformed into your home-away-from-home in the heart of the mountains. Rainbow Cabin #3 is your launchpad for outdoor adventure, riverfront relaxation, and fireside memories—all wrapped in rustic charm and creature comforts.
Located just steps from the Shaver’s Fork River, you’ll enjoy access to some of the best trout fishing in the state, tubing in the summer (when the water’s high), and scheduled on-site activities perfect for guests of all ages.

2 Bedrooms
→ One with a queen bed
→ One with two twin-over-twin bunk beds
Living Room
→ Queen-size sofa bed
→ Flat-screen TV with cable
→ Pellet stove with pellets provided
Bathroom
→ Clean and modern with full-size shower
Kitchen
→ Fully equipped with fridge, stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, and bakeware

Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. And whatever you needed that you didn’t have, the town of Elkins was just up the road less than 15 minutes away while still giving you the enjoyment of a remote river canyon. Can’t say enough good things about this place. So well located near so many amazingly beautiful places that we took advantage of.

As always great stay, great responsive hosts. There were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids. If this cabin is designed for 6 people I would recommend the host to add 3 chairs to the dining table. Otherwise everything worked great!

The place was great. Clean and friendly people all around. Didn’t like the master mattress but that might have been because we aren’t use to that type of mattress. Definitely coming back.

This cabin and campground has so much to offer everyone of all ages. It is very family oriented and pet friendly. It was peaceful and everyone was so nice. I would definitely love to stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
