Tired of computers, e-mail, 24 hour news and over-scheduling? Ready to un-plug? We invite you to unwind at the Great Escape in Grand Marias, Michigan. This nicely renovated cottage, located on beautiful Lake Superior, will provide the ultimate retreat from your busy life. It is an ideal vacation spot for families with children or couples who enjoy peace and quiet and exploring the great outdoors.

With over 100 feet of private frontage, the white sandy beach with views of Pictured Rocks' Grand Sable Dunes is one of the cottage's greatest features. The cottage is situated on a deep lot on Coast Guard Point, but the approximate 125 yard walk to the beach on the dune path is well worth it! Whether you enjoy curling up with a good book, building elaborate sand castles, combing the beach for agates, flying kites, fishing off the break wall, swimming in crystal clear fresh water, paddle boarding or just soaking up the sun, this quiet, secluded beach offers it all.

What could be better than ending your day making s'mores by a campfire on the beach, while watching an incredible sunset? Perhaps being the first one up and enjoying your coffee on the beach, pondering the wonders of life! We have no doubt you will leave Grand Marais refreshed, energized and ready to tackle what lies ahead, until your next Great Escape.
