This rural cottage is situated in a VERY quiet country lane between the two medieval towns of Perigueux and Bergerac, in the heart of the Dordogne, with good views across farm and woodland.

The property has a large lawn which is quiet and secluded with an apple orchard that includes cherry and plum trees to it's side

Vergt and the immediate locality are totally unspoilt by tourism. The summer months see regular traditional festivals, including the Strawberry Fête (Vergt is the centre of strawberry cultivation).
Visit the beautiful Vézère and Dordogne valleys; troglodyte caves and cave paintings (including world famous Lascaux).
Canoe rentals in season and horse riding locally.
Castles and bastide towns.
Eat inexpensively and gastronomically at a wide variety of restaurants.

Taste and buy wines in the Bergerac vineyards.
