Thebaid is located on a rural zone, about 50 km from the airport in the municipality of Calheta in the extreme southwest of the island, the warmest and enjoyable area of ??Madeira The closest population is Paul do Mar, where there is an ancient path of connection that takes about 30 minutes walking or 5 minutes by car.
Near the house there are several restaurants, bars and small supermarkets. The nearest health center in the Fajã da Ovelha is a 5 minute drive and the Hospital about 10 minutes, in Calheta. It is the largest city of Madeira, but not the most populous, now living mainly from agriculture and the vast majority of young people emigrating to South Africa, Venezuela and elsewhere in South America.
It is located in a private and secluded, away from all the bustle and hustle of the cities. Is located in a property of about 4000 square meters, surrounded by fruit trees, agricultural crops and other trees. Guests can enjoy the fruits available there. The property has total privacy. The Thebaid of Massapez is a privileged space with greenery and tranquility to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing holiday and enjoying the bucolic atmosphere of natural beauty available in this area. In the gardens and relaxing areas you can give wings to your imagination, you can meditate, paint, write, photograph, etc..
The house consists of 2 floors, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a common living and dining room with fireplace, kitchen, barbecue and swimming pool.
On the first floor is the kitchen that has Juicer, toaster, broiler ,microwave, oven ,refrigerator and
stove. The living room contains fireplace and bathroom ,on the second floor there is two rooms one with a master bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two double big beds. The two have private bathroom. Each room has a private balcony with superb views over the Atlantic Ocean. Outside the house there is a barbecue available for grilling, fully equipped, large swimming pool and a garage.
Facilities: The house offers bath and pool towels and 2 changes of sheets per week. Availability of cot and baby bath and stand and binoculars. The Friday is the day dedicated to the maintenance of the house, pool , gardens and others.
The house is close to various hiking routes taken in: Local and long distances.

Ideal property for a holiday away from it all with super outdoor areas and a magnificent view of the sea. The house is well equipped and the owner, Emanuel, is extremely kind.

The house is in a rural location and the views of the Atlantic are breathtaking. If you want to relax in peaceful surroundings, this is the place for you! Inside the house, the décor and furniture are traditional but there’s everything you need for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very effective, ensuring we slept well despite the high humidity. Furthermore, the kitchen is very well equipped and there are three bathrooms, each with a shower, which is incredibly convenient if you're staying as a larger group. We also found the house to be very clean throughout. The terrace and pool area are a real bonus. There's plenty of space and we spent a lot of time outside, making the most of the weather. Without a doubt, the terrace and pool area are the perfect place to spend your time.Our host, Emanuel, was communicative and friendly throughout our stay. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him and he was genuinely interested in our stay at his house. It really was a pleasure to meet him. If you're looking for a comfortable house in a rural Madeiran setting, my friends and I would recommend it without hesitation. For the price, you needn’t look any further!

Lovely property, set in peaceful and lush environment. The views from the property and the sunsets are fantastic.The only ‘downside’ is that there are no restaurants within reasonable walking distance but if you want the peaceful location then this is to be expected.Overall great place
