A lovely holiday let with a short walk into the town. Fantastic views from the lounge with addition of donkeys, sheep and chickens to keep us amused. Would love to return to this property.

Lovely in all respects.Dog owners note that lambs and chickens come freely into the garden so leads needed at all times.

An idyllic location and convenient for exploring the local area. Southview is comfortable and has everything you could need in a cottage, so well equipped, clean and tidy. The views from the rear of the cottage are stunning and we particularly enjoyed watching the entertaining sheep and chickens from the lounge. The Bowes museum is literally opposite the cottage and it is a short walk into Barnard Castle which has some lovely places to eat and drink. The owner, Chris, is on hand for any issues as he lives next door. Would definitely recommend for a chilled out and relaxing break.

Great place and countryside location. Few mins walk into centre. Lovely, renovated barn with everything you need for a relaxing break.
