Top Cottage is a beautiful, well presented property dating back to the 1800's. Originally four workmen's cottages, this property has been sympathetically restored to provide a high standard of accommodation. Period features and creature comforts combine to create a comfortable holiday home.
Antique furniture and tasteful period art throughout complement the original inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, window seats and flagstone flooring.
The main house can sleep up to five people, with the annexe in the garden providing privacy and space for further two guests.
Additional Information
Off street parking is available for three cars.
A welcome basket of logs provided.
A high chair, travel cot (Linen not provided) and safety gate available upon request.

It is important to note, that the only access to the single bedroom is through the master bedroom.

The accommodations were amazing and I enjoyed the old time cottage feel as well as the yard and guest house. Parking was convenient as we had 2 rental cars and had plenty of space. We were disappointed that the Pub within walking distance is closed. Other than that, we spent time at the Fox at Oddington which was great! We all had a memorable experience celebrating my 50th birthday! Excellent property!

We booked this break as part of my wife's 60th birthday celebrations. The cottage, annexe and gardens were lovely. A great location for exploring the Cotswolds and the local pub, a 5 minute walk, was great for having a drink at the end of the day.

This turned out well for us; the cottage lived up to its description, the location suited us well, a playground within the five year old's walking distance, even without enough car space to go round we were not limited for walks, sights and shops. The pub in the village did us a very nice celebratory meal. It was the setting for an excellent five days.

Excellent Location, Lovely Village, Excellent pub. Good Cottage Garden.
Old Cotswold Cottage, Comfortable bed. However this was let down because the Cottage was quite grubby and shabby. It could benefit from a deep clean and a freshen up of paint.
There was no name of the cottage on the outside of the property which caused some initial confusion.
The welcome hamper fell short of the usual Rural retreats standards, the freezer was full of water in every drawer as some had left ice cube bags in there which had broken and defrosted. One of the freezer drawers was badly cracked. the Aga hob was dirty and we had to clean the oven controls before we could see how to turn it on. The legs of 2 of the 6 dining chairs were broken rendering the chairs unusable. The finish of the frying pan was peeling off so not hygienic. Some of the saucepans had food residue which had to be scrubbed off. There were not enough saucepans to cook meals. The lining on the back of the lounge curtains was mouldy. Chipped crockery and pyrex dish had been put back in the cupboard instead of being disposed of. The kitchen and bathroom floors were filthy. Some drawer contained owners belongings instead of being locked away.
Overall not of the standard we have been used to from many previous holidays with Rural Retreats.
