The home itself is beautiful, has plenty of space for a group like ours (9 adults). Nice kitchen and wonderful decks. The host was very accessible and responded immediately to every question we had. The host provided so many things for us to do, a paddle boat, two kayaks, and the game room was great. We were also lucky enough to find Hayward, WI Pontoon Rentals that brought a pontoon to Crystal Lake for us then picked it up at the designated time. Highly recommend contacting them for boat rental if you are staying here. The lake is so perfect to swim, and to pontoon on and has such easy access. Very friendly area, we loved it. If it were not for cleaning this rental and the owner deserve a 10 out of 10. Unfortunately, it did not appear as though the house had been cleaned or prepped for our stay, especially in the rooms above the garage where the floors did not appear to have been swept for some time, one bed in the room with five twin beds had very large cobwebs between the pillow and the blanket on the bed, there were candy bar wrappers under the beds, the dishwasher had a bread bag in it, and in the sink the drain catcher had food in it and there were several light bulbs burned out. With the exception of the spider webs in the bed, most of these things were minor, we cleaned them up and continued on with our vacation and had a wonderful time. We would definitely recommend this Host, and this property.

We stayed for Memorial Day weekend, was nice and relaxing, i really like that the cabin is by the lake,the kids loved it.We had plenty of space and bads to sleep in.I was a nice experience and the host replied quickly and answered all our questions before our stay.

This home is spacious and met our group’s needs for a busy ski weekend except for missing one functional bathroom. The host informed us of a water line (out to a second building containing bedrooms and a bathroom, not connected to the main house) freezing 1 week before our stay for Birkie 2025 (arguably the busiest time of the year for the Cable area). We said we would make it work. It was inconvenient to walk between buildings to use the bathroom / shower and so we asked if the host would consider providing a discount for our stay. They briefly responded that they would “look into it” and then absolutely no more contact. Disappointing.
