I cannot say enough good things about our week at Sugar Shack! The house has everything your family will need for a week at the beach. The reservation process was incredibly easy, communication with Bud and Janice was excellent from start to finish. The house was cleaner than any other beach house we have rented over the years (we typically do our own clean upon arrival and did not feel like it was necessary at Sugar Shack). You cannot beat the location! Being able to walk right up the short path to the beach with all of our gear was the best. There is nothing to say about this property except that it is exceptional and we cannot wait to come back! Thanks so much B&J for sharing your fabulous, special home with us!!!

This was a perfect place for our family of 3 to stay in. So cute and cozy. Great location to walk up and back to the beach. Bud and Janice were super helpful and SO nice. I would definitely look to come back here. Was an easy mile walk to the village of Duck. This was something we didn't even know we would need until we were there and saw the car traffic up/down the main road through town. We were fortunate to have the adjoining larger unit vacant during our stay so I cannot speak to noises and such in that regard. It was very peaceful and we feel very blessed to have stayed there.

We had a beautiful week at this property. The house was perfectly clean upon arrival. The hosts were very responsive and gave us suggestions on where to eat and what essentials were located on the property. The home is less than a minute from the beach, so we were able to go back to the room easily throughout the day when we needed things. This is especially nice with a small child. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with very nice dishes, cookware, coffee machines etc. No cheap stuff. We were able to cook several meals and had everything we needed. We were 110% satisfied with our stay. Ideal property and hosts! Thank you so much!

It was our first time to OBX and we had a blast. The Sugar Shack was everything we wanted it to be - we especially appreciated the location to the ocean and to Duck. It was clean and well stocked and the description was accurate. We had a fantiatic stay. Thanks!
