Welcome to Casa Lanui, one of the unique luxury homes in Costa Rica. This 9,340 square-foot (867 m²) five-star villa is located on a private 1.6 acre (6,500 m²) property fronting the beautiful beach of Santa Teresa. Casa stands for "home" in Spanish, and Lanui means "holiday" in Hawaiian. We guarantee you precisely this experience - a holiday of a lifetime.
Casa Lanui's design is modern, classy, and hippie-chic, ensuring you will feel at home away from home. This beautiful villa is located in the exclusive northern part of Santa Teresa, with direct access to the white-sand beach and some of the most consistent waves in Costa Rica, making it a surfer's paradise.
This 7 bedroom, 7.5 bathroom villa comfortably accommodates large families or groups of friends in a unique and private location. Casa Lanui is part of North Creek Estate, sharing the property with Casa Taman (4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms). Both houses can be rented separately or together for large groups, accommodating up to 28 guests combined.
Casa Lanui features three primary bedrooms with ocean views, one primary bedroom with a garden view, and two kids' bedrooms, each with two bunk beds, accommodating a total of 8. Additionally, there is a separate studio with a king-size bed, full bathroom, and kitchenette, ideal for accompanying staff or guests seeking more privacy. This studio is designed to be accessible for people with disabilities.
The expansive living area opens entirely to the pool, deck, and beach. This area includes a fully equipped kitchen and prep kitchen, with plenty of seating at the kitchen island and a console style table for 8-10 people. The dining area includes an 18 foot long table that comfortably seats 20 people. The cozy lounge area is perfect for relaxing and includes a 60 inch television.
On the terrace, enjoy the infinity edge pool with shallow hang out areas, surrounded by lounge chairs for tanning and enjoying your favorite drinks with friends and family. There is also an outdoor space for massage, yoga, and workouts.
The spacious area between the house and the beach is naturally shaded by native trees and includes lounge chairs and hammocks. The white-sand beach in front of North Creek Estate is beautiful. You can relax in full privacy in the shade of numerous trees while watching some fantastic, consistent surf or one of the world's most beautiful sunsets. This area is also perfect for events such as weddings and retreats.
Staying with us is a luxury experience, and to ensure you have an unforgettable stay, we provide the following services:
• Complimentary concierge service – From chefs to massage therapists, our team will plan every last detail and ensure everything is perfectly organized for your stay.
• Delicious breakfast buffet (food cost not included)

• Two kids' bedrooms (5 and 6): Each with two bunk beds (twin XL size), full ensuite bathroom, desk area, and closet. Also perfect for adults to sleep comfortably.
• Studio (7): Accessible for people with disabilities. Includes a king size bed, table, kitchenette, and an ensuite adapted full bathroom.
Living areas:
• Spacious living room with high ceilings that opens entirely to the terrace and swimming pool area
• Large, fully equipped kitchen with bar seating at the island and a console style table for 8-10 people
• Beautiful 18 foot long wooden dining table that seats 20
• Lounge area with comfortable sofas and a 60 inch television
Beach and town access: The beach and town are within walking distance, but renting a car or ATV is highly recommended for getting around.
Santa Teresa, located on the southern tip of Costa Rica's northwestern peninsula, has an edge-of-the-world vibe that still feels remote and inspires relocation dreams. Driving down the road that connects the area's four beaches — Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa, Playa Carmen, and Mal País — you will wonder what your life would be like in a town that experiences almost year-round sunshine (punctuated by the occasional rainstorm, sure) and consistently warm temperatures. This main road, which runs parallel to the beach, has many cute cafés, excellent restaurants, a few galleries, and many new fashion boutiques and surf shops.
At North Creek Estate, we conduct our daily practices with the environment in mind, aiming to minimize our footprint. As part of our efforts, we are committed to:
• Protecting the ocean by professionally treating all our wastewater with a treatment plant and processing our grease with authorized providers
• Reducing the amount of water used by washing our linens every three days
• Minimizing waste by composting 100% of our cooking and kitchen waste, whether raw or cooked, and using the resulting compost to nurture our gardens. We also sort our garbage into recyclables and non-recyclables
• Participating in community efforts and activities to clean up beaches
• Reducing our carbon footprint by equipping our A/C units with eco-sensors that ensure they run only when needed
• Decreasing our electricity consumption with a state-of-the-art automatic system that efficiently manages all lights on the property
• Buying cleaning products that comply with environmental operating standards
• Engaging with several community associations that support sustainable development in the area
Getting here:
There's the option of a domestic flight from SJO to one of the nearby airstrips.
You can choose between commercial or private flights.
Commercial flights land at the Cobano Airport, which is about 35 minutes from the property. If you prefer a private flight, there is another airport located 25 minutes away.
Commercial flights have set schedules.
For private flights, we’ll be happy to check availability for your dates and share all the options and pricing with you.

This house, property, location, amenities … all of it… wonderful. It’s even better than pictures which is hard to believe. House well thought out. Breakfast delicious. My only complaint is that the acoustics aren’t great so it can be fairly loud in bedrooms when people in main living area. If you are considering booking this house just do it. You will not regret it!!
