We loved the back porch! Comfy chairs, deep roof made it nice to hang out rain or shine.

My husband and I had a great time staying at this property. The house is nicely set up for indoor-outdoor living and has a grill we used about half the nights. The kitchen was just the right size for us and had everything we needed. Lol, there are 4 different devices to make coffee. Waimea has grocery stores and restaurants just a few minutes away. The beaches with the best sunny weather are right down the road. The host kept in touch with us and gave us great tips for activities. Really just great overall.

We enjoyed a 10 day stay at the Red Ohana 2 bedroom cottage in Waimea. The location was so convenient to restaurants, grocery stores , farmers markets, and lovely Hapuna Beach. We appreciated the provided beach supplies Nearby farmers markets were fun. The central location made it easy for day trips to north island towns as well as west beaches and sights near Hilo.

Laura was great- super nice and great communication. The grounds are beautiful and well kept but my family was SO cold that part of my family went down by the beach to book an additional hotel there just to keep warm.
By the way- looking at pictures in the listing- the beach is 45 minutes away It’s not a beach view.. You are literally up in the mountains. During our stay it was literally 55 degrees in the home and there is no heaters other than a space heater for one room. The rooms smell of mildew due to the dampness.
All that said, again, Laura was very sweet but if we would’ve know that going to Hawaii we should be packing sweats and coats AND for the price.. we were sadly disappointed. Maybe getting heat in the home would be a great start to having the stay be as nice as looking at it in a pictures.
Darn.
