Summary:

Welcome to Stardust Big Bend, Terlingua's newest and most luxurious property. The cottage sleeps 7. Central location on the main highway — 5 minutes to the national park, 3 to the ghost town. Full kitchen with all cooking essentials, plus a wrap-around deck with patio furniture, a covered pergola & a firepit. Our clubhouse has a pool table, air hockey, foosball, arcades & darts, and you can unwind in our new shared barrel sauna. With 12 rentals total, large groups can stay together.



The Space:

The Cottage has a bedroom, a living room, a loft, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom. It comfortably accommodates 7 people. On the outside, we have a wrap-around deck on two sides and a fire pit where you can sit and have one of the best stargazing experiences in the world.



We are located on the main road through the town (Hwy 170). We are 5 minutes from the entrance of the national park and 3 minutes from the ghost town. The gas station, grocery store, tour companies, and restaurants are all within 5 minutes.



The bedroom has a queen bed with a very comfortable mattress. We provide both soft and firm pillows. There is a reading light on top of the bed. A small closet has clothes hangers, a luggage rack, an iron, and an ironing board.



The living room has a very comfortable sleeper sofa from West Elm that converts into a queen bed. There is a coffee table with some books, trail maps, etc. Opposite to that, we have two armchairs. There is a smart TV mounted on the wall, with all your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney, ESPN, etc. There is a small dining table with four chairs around it. The same table can be used as a workspace for remote work. The living room has a large sliding patio door from which you get an unparalleled view of the majestic Chisos Mountains in the National Park.



The loft is accessed by a ladder. It has three twin beds. A small window gives a view of the Chisos Mountains from the top



There is a full kitchen with an electric range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, sink, slice toaster, electric kettle, and pour-over coffee maker. We provide pots, pans, utensils, and cutlery.



The washroom has a shower, marble vanity, and a wall-mounted toilet. We provide a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion.



On the outside, we have a hammock and a sofa dining set. There is also a fire pit with four benches around it.



We have a huge shared clubhouse. The clubhouse has a professional pool table, huge air hockey table, foosball, arcades with thousands of retro games, darts, board games and more. When you are done with the hiking and exploring, the clubhouse is an excellent way to have some indoor fun. It is especially useful to keep the kids entertained.



There is a barrel sauna that you can use dry or wet (steam). Other than the many health benefits of using a sauna, it can help your sore muscles relax after a hard day of hiking.



We also have an on-site guest laundry with a washer and dryer. We provide the laundry detergent for your convenience.



There is a charcoal BBQ grill next to the Cottage. We provide grilling utensils, lighter fluid, and a lighter.



We have level-2 EV chargers on site to charge your Tesla (NACS) or non-Tesla (J1772) electric vehicles. There is an additional $30 fee to use the EV charger if needed (charged for each night of the booking).



We have backup Generac generators for the full facility. Power outages are frequent in the area (sometimes 2-3 times per month) and we are one of the very few properties in the area with backup power. You don't want to be stuck in a vacation rental when the power goes out. Temperatures can be extreme at any time of the year in the Big Bend



Guest Access:

You will be given the door code to enter your unit. You have access to the entire Cottage, the outside patio, the firepit, and the clubhouse. Please stay on the walkways and don't wander off the walkways or near other cabins to give everyone their privacy.



The Neighborhood:

Well, we are in the desert. There is not much of a neighborhood as we have vast empty spaces around us, yet close to the park and restaurants. The Ghost Town is 3 mins away, Big Bend National Park is 5 mins, and Lajitas is 15 mins. There are very few properties nearby. The back side of our property has Cigar Mountain, there is only one vacation rental on it that is visible from the property. Other than that, you have unrestricted views of Big Bend National Park, the Chisos Mountains, Santa Elena Canyon, and other nearby mountains.



Getting Around:

A car is essential to get around. Some businesses in town offer jeep rentals for your off-roading adventures



Other Things to Note:

Please specify the correct number of people when booking.



Pets are not allowed. If we do find out you brought a pet (which we almost always do when guests try to break the rules), there will be a $199 extra cleaning fee, and any damage by the pet will also be charged to your card. Also, please review the pictures carefully.



Please use the loft ladder with caution. Never let children climb the ladder or go to the loft without adult supervision. Always use the handrails when climbing or descending the ladder.



By renting this cabin you agree to release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Mirza Investments LLC, its officers, servants, agents, or employees (hereinafter “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you, or to any guests accompanying you while using the ladder, or while in, or upon the premises where the use of the ladder is being conducted, regardless whether such loss is caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise and regardless whether such liability arises in tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise.
