Welcome to Pelicans Perch at Shallowbag Bay by KEES Vacations, a soundfront retreat in the heart of Manteo. Overlooking the waters of Shallowbag Bay, this waterfront condominium offers comfortable accommodations, beautiful views, and an excellent location just a short walk from downtown Manteo's shops, restaurants, and attractions.
The open living area provides plenty of space to relax after a day exploring the Outer Banks, while the private balcony is the perfect place to enjoy waterfront views, morning coffee, or evening sunsets. The fully equipped kitchen includes ample counter space, bar seating, and everything needed to prepare meals during your stay.
The condo comfortably accommodates families and groups with two Queen En Suites and a third bedroom featuring a Twin over Twin bunk bed. Guests will also enjoy a pool table, ping pong table, private boat dock access available through Shallowbag Bay Dock Master (charges may apply), and a convenient laundry room.
Shallowbag Bay community amenities include a waterfront pool, hot tub, fitness center, and clubhouse. One of Manteo's favorite waterfront restaurants, Striper's Bar & Grille, is located just steps away.

The condo itself was cute and a good distance to the beach and other destinations. There were a lot of crumbs on the tables, counters and floors when we arrived so I cleaned it with supplies I had. When I contacted management they offered to send someone to clean it the next morning, however, I had already cleaned. Overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed our trip.

I loved this location and the town of Manteo. Watching the boats coming in out was amazing, and the peacefulness of the property is more than you would expect. Except for the fact that you can hear footsteps above you, it's to be expected for a condo.
I must say, the carpet needs to go! It stinks and it's nasty. I took a shower, walked around barefoot, and then noticed that my feet were very dirty! It also stinks like Dog pee. I had to buy some candle warmers during my stay. This condo has a lot of potential and could end up being a top place to stay but it just needs a big clean up. We found trash under the couch and in the cushions. Also there was trash under the dressers.
We did not sleep in the bunk beds but they need to be updated and they look unsafe. The wood is cracked on the top bunk and it seems to be held together by glue.
The hot water in the kitchen was not working but we improvised without complaining. The showers were great but still needs an update!!
Update the Pelican and you will be amazed how much this property would benefit.
