Butterfield Cottage, couldn't be better placed for a self catering holiday for 6 in the Peak District National Park. It lies in the heart of the national park in a quiet spot on the edge of Tideswell, just a 5 minute stroll from shops, pubs and tearooms. Completely refurbished, it provides bright and airy accommodation. Stylishly decorated throughout in English country cottage style, with good quality furniture and antiques to create an extremely comfortable and relaxing environment complete with all the modern facilities required for a perfect self catering holiday. It has some of the best views in Tideswell across the dale and is not overlooked. The cottage has a lovely outdoor sitting and dining area to the front of the cottage and free Wi Fi. It's particularly suited to families with older children and groups getting together, and for those who enjoy walking, culture and outdoor pursuits.

Perfect property for a family gathering. Lots of space inside and for dining. Parking was great outside the back of the house for all three cars each day.

This was our second stay at Butterfield Cottage - two wonderful weeks at this cosy, comfortable, immaculate cottage. The owner, Jan, was so kind, accommodating and quick to respond allowing us early check in after an overnight flight and late check out as well.The cottage has everything you could ask for - comfortable beds, two bathrooms, well appointed kitchen and cosy living and dining space. The weather was outstanding so we made great use of the front terrace as well as the rear garden. There are great places to visit within short distances (Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Peak Caverns to name a few). Tideswell has wonderful pubs and there was a fun food festival while we were there. We also took greak hikes including Mam Tor.We highly recommend Butterfield Cottage to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, beautiful place to explore the Peak District. Th

Accommodation was clean, comfortable, within close walking distance to a few eateries and shops, and near Peak District favorites such as Chatsworth House and Bakewell. The children especially enjoyed the playground just across from the back garden. Our only disappointment was that the listing said there was a hot tub, but that must have been an error. All in all a great stay!

Initial appearance of the property was not very inviting and disappointing eg paint peeling and generally looked rundown .inside was clean but something had been put on the tables was very sticky.the kitchen was well equipped and easy to use The rear of the property was not very inviting as it appeared not to have not been swept for sometime The mattresses of the two front bedrooms were not great ! Sitting room comfortable.
Appreciated occasional use of Boiler in evenings
Best facility the patio for breakfast and dinner weather permitting
