DESCRIPTION
Sunset West is a wonderfully designed vacation rental home in the Beach Barber Tract neighborhood of La Jolla.
Enter the home to a sun-filled open living room with a gas fireplace and Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. From there you’ll find a gourmet kitchen, fully stocked with a full appliance package and a center island. A convenient breakfast nook leads to a garden patio with lounges. There is one bedrooms on the ground level and another 4 on the second level, including the Master bedroom with another sleeping nook. The Master bedroom includes a built-in gas fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a lovely ocean-view terrace.
For a real treat take the spiral staircase to the ocean-view rooftop deck, complete with lounge seating and a firepit; the perfect spot to relax and recharge, and of course, take in one of those famous San Diego sunsets.
Additional amenities include TVs in all rooms, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans and box fans, ready-made beds, one full towel set and beach towel per guest, and a starter kit of household and bath soaps and paper goods. In-home laundry and detergent are also provided for your convenience.
When you’re ready to get out and explore, it’s just a 5-minute walk down Sea Lane to the ocean and sandy beach. You can stroll up and down the sandy beach and wander along sandstone outcroppings or spread out your towels and enjoy some serious sunbathing with the crashing waves as a backdrop.
The Sunset West vacation rental is also conveniently located within walking distance of the Village of La Jolla. There is plenty of sightseeing along with shopping boutiques and several first-class dining options for the foodies in your group.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, had plenty of room for our family, and communication from the company was great. The nearby beach access offered beautiful views, though it was not ideal for swimming or sunbathing, and most restaurants and family-friendly beach spots were a bit of a walk (25 minutes).Being from out of state, we would have loved a few simple activities, games, beach items, or basic pantry staples provided. This may simply be the difference between a company-managed rental and a more personal rental experience.Overall, this was a great stay, and our rating simply reflects our family’s personal vacation preferences for this trip.

Nice property. Plenty of room for 12 of us! Very little yard space, but deck on top is a nice plus! Only two complaints… first, there are very high ceilings in the house and hardwood floors, so the noise travels everywhere…. So when one or two are up, the rest of the house is awake soon. Second, furniture in living room is pretty minimal and not comfortable. We like comfy couches to snuggle and read with kiddos. Very small couch and 2 chairs. Adequate at best. But if you don’t plan to hang around the house much, works just fine.
