Welcome to our beautifully renovated historic 4-bedroom, 1-bath home, originally built in 1902 by a local farm family so their children could attend public school in town. The home blends historic charm with modern comfort and is located just half a mile from Makoshika State Park, Montana’s largest state park.
Makoshika is known for its stunning badlands scenery, hiking trails, wildlife, and incredible fossil history. Many travelers visit the area for dinosaur fossil digs and rock hunting along the Yellowstone River, where beautiful agates can often be found.
The home offers plenty of room for families or groups to relax and spread out.
Main Floor
Two spacious living rooms, both with TVs and Roku devices so you can stream your favorite shows
One living room also features a queen hide-a-bed and a cozy electric fireplace
Dining room with a table and seating for four, perfect for meals, games, or gathering after a day of exploring
Large bathroom attached to the master bedroom, which includes a comfortable new mattress for a restful night’s sleep
Upstairs you’ll find three additional bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Two twin beds
Bedroom 3: One twin bed and a small desk, perfect for a quiet remote work setup
These rooms provide plenty of space for families or groups traveling together.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals, including:
Air fryer
Waffle iron
Crockpot
Drip coffee maker
Keurig coffee maker
Coffee and basic kitchen essentials
Outdoor Space
Enjoy relaxing Montana evenings outside with:
Two porches, perfect for enjoying warm weather and sunsets

Guest Access & Amenities
Guests have access to the entire home and outdoor areas. Amenities include:
High-speed internet throughout the home
Unfenced backyard open for your enjoyment. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash, as neighbors also have pets.
Street parking only, with approximately 50 feet of curb space directly in front of the home.
The main entrance has only two steps, making access easy for most guests.

Our home is in a great location for exploring eastern Montana. Guests often visit the area for:

Overall we were grateful for the space. We did not have a lot of options in glendive for the size of our family. Unfortunately, we did have a few things that the host should consider: no extra toilet paper- pinching broken toilet seat-no sheets for the pull out bed-dirty pans in the cabinets-but most of all cat hair in every bed. We moved some family members to a different house because they are allergic to cats. This should be disclosed on the rental agreement. All of that being said, we would consider this property again depending on who is in our traveling party, because not all can stay there-cat allergy.

Okay place for the location, but didn’t seem to be fully cleaned. Trash in the kitchen, rugs off the floor, keys left to the basement in the door knob, towels left for makeup removal smelled dirty unlike the rest of the towels. Outlet for lamp and clock in primary bedroom were not working. Quite a few stains on some of the couches. The coffee supplies were partially empty. It was ok for two nights but probably depends on your tolerance and how much time you plan to spend at the house during your stay. We did not use anything in the kitchen or outdoor area. Not mentioned was that there is a house directly behind that has their mail box on this house’s front porch and shares a walkway. So don’t be startled if someone walks around the side of the house.
