Graf Chiemo Suites—located right on Lake Chiemsee with private lake access!

Graf Chiemo is the namesake not only for the town of Chieming but also for Lake Chiemsee and the Chiemgau region.
The site where the “Graf Chiemo Suites” now stands is one of the oldest settlement sites in the entire Alpine foothills region. It was here, between the small Pfaffersee and Bavaria’s largest lake, that the first settlers made their home over 5,500 years ago, during the Neolithic period (New Stone Age).

Before construction began in the fall of 2022, over 250 archaeological sites were identified on the construction site and excavated and documented by professional archaeologists. Among other things, an arrowhead and various tools were discovered. Finally, a male skeleton dating from the eighth century was uncovered at the edge of the construction site.

Following meticulous planning, construction began in early 2023. The house blends tradition with modernity, particularly in its interior design. Guests are meant to feel comfortable—better than at home. The luxuriously equipped kitchens are designed to inspire cooking. Inspiration can be found in the various cookbooks by top chefs, all of whom are known to the homeowner and some of whom have already cooked in the house.

The surrounding restaurants naturally offer a wide variety of cuisines, ranging from Bavarian to Italian to Asian. Fish, of course, plays a major role here.
