The Cueva Almendro is a cave dwelling, recently renovated, accessible all year, free parking.

- Bright and well equipped kitchen (dishwasher significant amount) with 4 plate ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge / freezer.
- Input / dining room light
- Bathroom with shower in connection with a laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board (also hairdryer) with window.
- 2 bedrooms with 1 large double bed (140x190 cm) and 2 single beds 90x190 cm (new bedding July 2015)
- Rare troglodyte, the living room is also bright thanks to a window overlooking the troglodyte district: this DOUBLE orientation allows good ventilation of the house.
- Large terrace / garden with panoramic views of the city (100m2, 1000m above sea level) built Barbecue and garden furniture.
- Parking in front of the cottage and access to the front of the door by a carriage road.

- Car recommended, however there is a bus station and a railway station in Guadix.

Very nice and clean place, and overall a special experience to pass some days in that traditional cave. The cave has a very good climate, especially when it's hot outside. Beautiful surrounding! And Guadix is a nice town with fair prices.
Also Maryse is a very kind host! She has a sense for nice details and has a lot of historical background.

We wanted to sample a Cueva and Cueva Almendro had everything we wanted. A really well decorated, clean and functioning home with a wonderful private terrace with great views.

The house is unique and was the favorite place we stayed for my two teenaged boys on a 10 day trip in Spain and Portugal.

Never tried to live in a cave before. Amazing how the temperature inside stays nice and cool no matter if it is blazing hot outside. The cave/house is nicely and creatively fitted out. Overall standard is quite basic. No luxury. But everything is clean and everything works. Nice views of the landscape and the City. Maryse, the owner, is sweet and very helpful and did her best to make us feel at home. It was a bit tricky to find the location. No road name signs in the area. Pay attention to guidance from the owner. Lots of noisy dogs in the neighborhood. All in all highly recommended.
