Nestled on 101 acres, Splitrock Farm & Retreat offers trails with panoramic vistas of the Pacific Ocean and Big Bear, plus the onsite Splitrock 5K loop. Just three miles from the property, the Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve — voted the #1 trail in San Diego County — winds through untouched riparian forest, home to golden beavers and the southernmost steelhead trout habitat in the U.S.

Portable Airconditioning Unit - Beat the heat
Queen-Sized Bed – Dressed in soft linens for a restful night
Seating Area with a View – Two comfy chairs ideal for reading or relaxing
Dining Table for Two – Perfect for simple meals or evening card games
Kitchenette – Includes cups, dishes, basic cooking utensils, and a French press
Wood Stove – Keeps the dome warm and cozy on chilly nights
Side Table with Drawers – Convenient storage for your stay
Solar-Powered Lighting – Gentle illumination once the sun goes down
Power Station - Charge your small devices
Please note the property operates fully off-grid using solar power and battery storage. Power is limited and should be used mindfully throughout your stay. High-draw appliances such as hair dryers, heaters, and fans will significantly reduce battery life and may not be sustainable, especially in the evenings once solar charging stops. A solar-powered system provides ambient light; we recommend bringing portable chargers for any electronics. Guests may also charge their electronics in the communal area.

All guests are welcome to enjoy the Oak Grove Communal Area, with fire pits, lawn games, and a shared kitchen. On weekends, the Camp Shop, located in the Oak Grove’s shipping container, offers snacks, firewood, and other basics.
Splitrock is just a short drive from regional highlights like the Santa Margarita River Trail, Santa Rosa Plateau, and the award-winning wineries of Temecula.

Very nice camp experience. Clean and comfortable. Shared toilets and shower just down the slope are also clean. This area of the camp was very quiet and the secluded fire pit was great at night. We stayed 1 night and it was a very easy arrival and depart.

Had a lovely time glamping in the Crown dome. It was comfortable, quiet, tranquil, and had stunning views (the sunset was to die for). I love camping, but wasn't looking for the set up and tear down aspect on this trip, and it was perfect.

Overall the place is beautiful and has amazing views. The bathroom they show in the picture is not part of the property. Furthermore, that bathroom was not far but not available at the time. The bathrooms available were portable toilets. They also have a picture of the fireplace but it’s not on the property. They have another picture of the backyard facing the mountain view but that’s like a 20 min walk. There’s a deposit you have to pay. Overall beautiful but not worth the price. Lots of fine print.
