This apartment was what we envisioned an Italian apartment to look like. You walked out of the apartment right into a hustling and bustling community. The market was a few steps away. It was small but had cheese, breads, etc for us to enjoy snacks at the apartment. Laura's pastry shop was only steps away and the light and flaky, cream filled scone melted in our mouths. We do suggest a stay in the old part of Monterroso al Mare. Giovanni was an amazing host and Veronica was helpful in greeting us and going over the house rules and how to work everything. The access to the apartment was located in an ally off the main street which was very difficult to find and there are 34 steps to climb to the apartment. The apartment was clean and the beds and baths were comfortable. The main issues we all experienced related to the uncomfortable furnishings in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen table was too tall for the uncomfortable kitchen chairs. The two little sofas were low to the ground and you sunk into the back of them when you sat so it was very difficult to get up. The wooden chair we used from the bedroom was also very uncomfortable. the only place you could sit comfortably was in your bed.
