Private log home, secluded retreat on Stonewall Jackson Lake area, 1.7 miles to resort main entrance. Located off of exit 91 Roanoke WV across highway from the backside of lake. You may hear highway noise from Rt19. Hot tub, gas grill, fire pit, *YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN WOOD* Due to people burning up the entire stack we are no longer providing wood, quiet, clean, relaxing, full amenities. One bedroom on main floor, two bedrooms on second level. All bedrooms have a queen size bed. Nearby fishing access, boating, & golf course is located at the resort, they have a boat launch, kayaking, restaurant & lounge. **CHECK IN INFO WILL BE GIVEN THE WEEK PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK IN.**
* Please Google the area for activities and things to do. You can search the internet for things to do in Roanoke or Weston, and Stonewall Jackson Resort.
*The VRBO site should show the location of the house in the map and you can get directions from there.
*Google area hospitals and medical services so you are aware of their locations if you would need them.
*There is NO SMOKING in this cabin or on the porch area. You may smoke by the fire pit and dispose or butts properly. Read house rules. There are fees charged if you smoke in the house or leave butts in the yard.
*The cleaning fees cover the average cleaning, disinfecting, floor, washing linens, ect.. Please leave dirty towels & sheets in the tub or you can start them in washer.
*Please clean any dishes/pans you have used before you leave.
*Trash bags are provided. Please put all trash in trash bags & take to trash bin at bottom of driveway. If it’s not bagged the trash people won’t collect it, The lids must be put back on the trash cans outside or the animals will drag it all out. Bags are located in the cabinet area under the kitchen sink.
*Please do not get in the hot tub with muddy feet, please do not have food in the hot tub. There may be some sand in the bottom of hot tub, we try to keep it out. There are chemicals there for you to put in the hot tub during your stay to help keep it clean. Leave the lid on it when not in use to keep temp. If the hot tub has to be drained and cleaned after your stay, extra fees will be charged. This causes inconvenience for the next guest due to water having to be refilled and will not be up to proper temperature on their arrival.
*PLEASE NOTE: If the hot tub has to be cleaned the day of your check-in, the water will not be up to temperature until late that evening or the following day. Please understand that we cannot foresee these types of incidents, our goal is to keep the hot tub clean for the next guest. We apologize if this would happen to be the case for any inconvenience it may cause.

The WiFi is satellite, it’s not meant much for streaming, it’s more for connecting your phone so you can get better service for calling. Depending on your service provider, you may have better service than I do. There is not much available in that area. There is Directv available to watch TV.

*Please leave the cabin the way you found it. Extra cleaning fees may incur or deposit held if you leave the cabin a mess or items broken or missing.
*The gas station is 3 miles North and there is a pizza shop the opposite way on 19 south. There is room for boat parking in a grass area below the house. The marina has boat slips for rent overnight and the lodge rents Pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes.

This is a cabin not a Hilton, there may be wild animals, deer, bear, coyotes, raccoons, crows, bats, squirrels, snakes ect. in the area. We get an occasional mouse especially when cooler weather hits, there are traps set just in case, it’s a cabin we do what we can to deter and keep them out.
If you have any issues during your stay you must contact me or vrbo so we can address your concern. If you leave early without contacting me or vrbo you forfeit any refund that may have been granted at owners discretion.
