The deer and the wind are your neighbors. Secluded yet walking distance to Kern River Brewing, Ewings on the Kern, El Rio Mexican American Restaurant and Sierra Gateway Market. This charming 1930s cabin is one of old Kernville's historic homes. Rich with history, private and secure, this cabin is a treat. Beautifully appointed with an amazing wrap-around porch with sweeping views.

We loved our stay at this property. The view was beautiful, the house was clean and had all we needed. There was great communication and readily available information for things around the house. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing stay in the Kern Valley! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The house was spotlessly clean and the amenities were everything we needed to feel right at home. The location was perfect — stunning views that made every morning feel like a getaway. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in the mountains!

This was our second time staying at meadow oaks as it is such a peaceful location. Ate dinner each night on the very large porch with a great view and only hearing the river. Used the AC and it was cool and quiet , really quiet. We still haven't turned on the TV so not sure about that. Great host, great history of this property, very relaxing trip.
