This 2BR/2.5BA BEACHFRONT condo (Villa H-5) is ideally located within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Lighthouse Park!
The living area is bright and beachy with comfortable furnishings, flat screen TV, VCR/DVD player and CD stereo, and opens onto a furnished beachfront deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Just past the living room is a large dining table for up to 6 with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The well-equipped kitchen with Gulf views has all standard appliances and a balcony overlooking the parking area. A convenient half bath can be found in the living area.
Upstairs is the beachfront master bedroom with King bed, beachfront balcony, TV, DVD/VCR and private bathroom with newly tiled shower. Across the hall, a second bedroom offers 2 double beds and a TV. A bathroom with combination tub/shower and laundry center is located just outside of this bedroom. Both bathrooms remodeled Spring of 2025.
Tile floors throughout the main living space with carpeted bedrooms, there are 12 stairs to reach the main living area and another 12 stairs to reach the bedroom/bathroom level.
The Villas of St. George complex has 42 units. The community offers use of a large community swimming pool with outdoor shower, park-style charcoal grilling area, fish cleaning station and beach boardwalk. Centrally located, you will have easy access to the center of St. George Island where area businesses and restaurants are located! The Villas of St. George Island was constructed in the 1980's, and while it is a treasured piece of St. George Island history, the older architecture results in more narrow stairwells than modern day condominiums, so please plan accordingly. This was our first time staying on St. George Island. There are only three in our family. We wanted to stay on the beach and close to the island's attractions. This was a great location. You are walking distance to the restaurants and gifts shops. There was great view of the beach from the balcony. The chairs on the balcony were very comfortable. We enjoyed having some quiet time in the morning sitting outside and watching the waves.The condo is built in two stories. The first floor is the kitchen and living area. The second story is bedrooms. There are separate thermostats for each floor. This is handy for staying comfortable at night. The bedrooms were good size and well furnished. The bathrooms were beautifully decorated. There only three of us, but we didn't run out of hot water. Checking in and out was a breeze. You will receive clear instructions on the process prior to arrival. This was our first time staying on St. George Island. Our previous vacations were spent at Destin, Ft. Walton and PCB. These areas have gotten so crowded. Our trip was in the second week of June. It was fantastic. The beaches weren't crowed and we were able to set up our canopy and chairs with no problem. Take the time to check out Apalachicola. Eating at the Hole in the Wall and Up the Creek restaurants is a must. Plan to eat early. Most shops close down around 6:00PM. Why go to 30A beaches when you can find peace and quiet here?

Absolutely fabulous! Very comfortable with a beautiful view, especially from the upstairs balcony. Literally right on the beach with restaurants and lighthouse less than a 5 minute walk. The dolphins put on a great show daily. Sunrise and sunsets were amazing

My mother stayed at the Villas 13 years ago. Not in this unit. But a lot of the inside of this unit looks like hers did at that time. I had the opportunity to compare it to two other units that family had rented and this unit by far needs to be updated. Bathrooms are original equipment. Wicker bedroom and living room furniture (living room was very uncomfortable, we stayed 2 weeks). Kitchen had new appliances but that was it. Counter tops were Formica. Pots and pans and bowls were very disorganized and difficult to find, stuck back in a corner cabinet. The outdoor furniture was brand new but adarondex style and very uncomfortable.
