Private home with glass doors and windows everywhere, huge deck with outside dining, bbq, hot tub,outside lounge area , live oak growing through the middle of huge deck, solar night lighting, unbroken mountain views. inside living room, deep leather chairs and sofa facing the mountain views with glass double doors leading to deck, with pot belly stove/fireplace for romantic fires on chilly nights, inside dining area,games room with ping pong, foozball, piano, board games, books, amazon tv, fireplace, great internet, office space, outside shower, amazing views of the Santa Monica mountains, bamboo flooring, leather sofas, modern light decor, chef's kitchen with range, espresso machine, blender,toaster. 2 bedrooms with glass doors, mountain views leading on to deck, new king memory foam mattresses,new super soft linens/towels, beach towels, Huge mid century desk in well lit workspace. walking distance to Topanga State Park, free off street parking,7 mins drive to beaches, 40 minutes from LAX, up in the mountains, secluded, majestic oaks, wildlife but still close to LA tourist attractions, peace and nature escape from the city but restaurants, shops, waterfalls, beach all close by. Perfect for families, friends, sanctuary for working, socializing. set on 4 aacres, close to Topanga village, vintage stores, cool restaurants, cafes, and local artizans, live music. peaceful, just the sound of wildlife, sit I. The hot tub under the stars and space to play outside in meadow below deck. Cleaned to Covid protocols with Well equipped kitchen spices, oil, vinegar, coffee, tea and complimentary free range organic eggs when the hens are laying.

Absolutely amazing views off the deck and we enjoyed spending a lot of time there- there’s a comfortable sectional couch and a dining table with ample seating for meals. Loved the ambiance with a tree growing out of the deck and the string lighting too. Very private and serene. The kitchen was well stocked and the host provided fresh eggs. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms clean with good water pressure.We enjoyed the ping pong table and hot tub too.There’s parking on the road (marked for guests) as well as in the driveway (though it’s steep so we didn’t use it.) As others have mentioned, be aware that there are a lot of stairs to get from the parking area down to the house. The host was great about communicating and check in and out made super easy. We were thrilled to find such a special setting that would host us with our two dogs.

This was easily one of the best hosts I have ever had. Lisa and Dan were very friendly and accommodating. The property met all of our expectations and was very reasonably priced. I absolutely would recommend this place for anyone looking for that classic cozy Topanga vibe.

This house is exactly as advertised. If you are looking for a quiet, spacious place in the country, this is it. The owners are very helpful and the beds are extremely comfortable. This is a country home, not an urban luxury residence. The disadvantage is LA traffic. It takes about an hour to get anywhere in LA.

I had a very specific location need for a rental house (attending a wedding and needed to be staying nearby so I could pop home and nurse my baby in the middle of the celebration), so from that standpoint this house totally checked the box. But I am very glad I never have to stay there again. Very remote, no cell service (there was internet in the house but calls couldn’t get out). There are a ton of doors in the house and they were questionably lock-able, which made me nervous. There was an overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals but there were cobwebs in corners, hair in the shower drain, and we saw a mouse in the kitchen on our last day. The drawers in the kitchen fell out if you opened them too far. The host really was so nice (let me check in early, set up a travel crib for me, gave me eggs from her chickens, and assured me she would handle the mouse problem when I flagged it for her), but overall I can’t say that this house was worth what it cost. If it was super cheap it could be worth looking past some of the drawbacks, but I paid over $1,000 for two nights and the cleanliness and quality didn’t match up to that.
