Designed for discerning travelers, Riverside Mountainview Lodge is a truly custom mountain retreat featuring high-end furnishings, thoughtfully selected fixtures, unique artwork, and an impressive array of amenities. Nestled along the Sunday River, the lodge offers an exceptional four-season getaway with direct river access and stunning views of Sunday River Ski and Golf Resort.
In the summer, relax beside the river and take in the scenery—you may even spot a bald eagle, deer, or moose. On warm days, wade or float in the cool water, or cast a line with the proper fishing license. Guests can also stroll to the pond for a peaceful moment or explore the walking trails throughout the property. Extensive hiking trails and trailheads are located nearby.
For golf enthusiasts, the award-winning Sunday River Golf Club is just 2 miles away. From the front of the lodge, guests can enjoy expansive views of the Sunday River ski trails. The resort's base lodge, restaurants, shops, and other amenities are only a 2-mile drive from the property.
Arrival & Outdoor Gear
Upon arrival, guests can park beneath one of two massive carports, providing convenient protection from the elements. Both the upper and lower entrances feature spacious mudrooms with plenty of storage for outdoor gear. The lower mudroom includes custom ski and boot storage, making it especially convenient during winter stays.
Main Level
The main level welcomes guests with vaulted ceilings and a spectacular open-concept kitchen and living area. The chef's kitchen features high-end appliances, a large island with seating, and plenty of room to gather.
The living area offers comfortable leather sofas centered around a wood-burning fireplace. Just off the kitchen is a beautiful dining area featuring a massive dining table, custom hutch, and a unique live-edge coffee table. A set of chairs provides the perfect spot to relax while taking in views of Sunday River.
From the dining area, step onto the back deck, where guests will find comfortable outdoor seating, a BBQ grill, and beautiful views of the river.
The primary ensuite bedroom offers direct views of the Sunday River trails and features a king bed, large soaking tub, and separate glass-tile shower with dual shower heads.
For guests who need to work while traveling, the home also includes a dedicated office space.
Upper Level
The upper level features two spacious queen bedrooms that share a large bathroom with a glass-tile shower. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed with ample space for a massage table, making it ideal for relaxing spa weekends.
Lower Level
The lower level is designed for entertainment and relaxation. The cozy TV room features a gas fireplace, making it the perfect place to settle in for a movie or watch your favorite sporting event.
Guests will also find a dartboard, sauna room, and kitchenette on this level.
The spacious bunk room is located just off the TV room and includes a queen bed and two sets of twin bunk beds, making it an ideal space for children, families, or groups traveling together.
The lower level also provides direct access to the back patio and outdoor amenities.
The Backyard
The backyard is truly magical. Guests can enjoy a private hot tub, a large custom firepit, and two additional artistic fireplaces, creating an inviting outdoor gathering space in every season.
The Sunday River flows just below the back patio. Follow the path down to the river and enjoy your morning coffee beside the water or unwind with an evening cocktail as you listen to the river flow by.
Important Guest Information
Please note that there is another home adjacent to the main house. Guests will not be disturbed by the owners or occupants of that property.
This is a true mountain property, and winter weather can make travel more challenging. We recommend all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicles during the winter season. The roads and driveway are professionally maintained, but guests may still find travel difficult without an appropriate vehicle during periods of significant snowfall.
Damage Waiver
A $150 non-refundable damage waiver fee is included in the total rental cost at the time of booking. This fee provides coverage for accidental damage up to $1,500.
Cancellation Policy
More than 30 days before arrival: You will receive a refund of your deposit, less a $50 processing fee.
Within 30 days of arrival: You will be refunded for any portion of your stay that is successfully rebooked by another guest.

Beautiful, comfortable, and clean house that had everything we needed! The river access was perfect for our group with younger kids. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the water and playing games on the sand area.

We had a great time at Sunday River and this house was perfect for us. Our group was 3 couples and 1 single adult. The location is very close to the mountain and an easy drive, less than 10 minutes. We had a nice amount of snow fall and we are early risers so the driveway was not plowed before 7am but was cleared by the time we returned from skiing. We enjoyed breakfast and dinners at the house so didn’t explore the area other than skiing. The kitchen is roomy and has everything you’d need. It truly feels like you’re in your own home. The beds were very comfy. Pillows, sheets and towels all high quality. The entryway was great for dropping gear with lots hooks and cubbies. We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and sauna! This is a beautiful home with many well thought out touches/amenities. We will definitely try and stay here another time. Great contact with rental company also!

Great house! We stayed here with 2 families and found it to be the perfect rental. Everything was neat and clean, great amenities, and easy access to the mountain!
