This was a perfect getaway for my family of 5, all older kids. This was Memorial Day weekend. We didn’t spend as much time at the beach as we hoped, but we were still able to take advantage of the proximity to other family places around Monterey Bay. The place was clean. While the kitchen does not have enough tools to play Iron Chef, it was enough that a simple trip to the grocery store let me cook a couple of meals for the family. Parking is very tight. There is a parking space available but the street is narrow and the designated spot is tight. I have a Subaru Ascent and it fit, but it is tight. The narrow street adds to the charm of the area and the walkability to Capitola Village and the beach. For me, the parking was worth it. Plus, if you’re familiar with Capitola you already know how hard it is to get in and out on busy weekends. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Location location location. You can't beat this for Capitola....but we were very disappointed with the cleanliness and lack of kitchen stuff.
The garbage cans were over flowing into the walkway at the base of the stairs, the couches and walls need desperate cleaning. The only condiments are salt, pepper, and 4 coffee filters. There were 5 or 6 coffee cups, plates, and a single ice tray....just fyi.
