House really needs a good deep cleaning. Floors needed vacuumed, bathroom sink was dirty and the wall had toothpaste splattered on it. There were only 2 wash cloths for 5 people so we had to drive 30 minutes to buy new ones. The yard needs picked up also, not very inviting. Trash, wood and junk scattered around.

This review was going to be a 7 or 8 out of 10 despite shower hair, dryer lint, broken laundry doors, loose sink, power out on a 40 morning, neighbor’s dogs barking nonstop, loud AC/fridge, no closet space because only closet is locked, and BAD Viasat dial-up style Wi Fi, so forget online work. We expected a 100 VRBO to be like this, but day 19 of our 22-day stay broke the camel’s back. The water stopped. I messaged, called, and left a voicemail, no reply or call back. VRBO reached the host and said the owner promised water tomorrow and a partial refund. We're used to camping, so we agreed. Next morning, still no water. I messaged asking what to expect, no reply. Hours later, I messaged again, again no reply. Later, VRBO called the host again, said they had trouble getting water, and approved a refund. So, we left. Water was not the crux of the bad review. The problem was the host leaving us in the dark after several attempts. Had they explained anything, we would have worked through it. The host replied late after we left, saying they just saw our messages and had a VRBO mix-up, admitting fault, but it felt like a slap in the face. Seeing days’ worth of messages, my call, and voicemail, after leaving us in these conditions, is poor hosting. Renter beware. I left a water container under the porch. Fill it in case the well runs dry/cistern goes empty/owner forgets to pay the bill (no idea how this works since we got no context), so you may flush the toilet and have coffee.

Home was nice and warm, comfortable. Sadly there was mouse droppings in 2 kitchen drawers, one with silverware. I had food on the counter inside a bag, not just sitting on the counter and mice got into that food also. The info the host left said there would be washcloths in bathroom vanity, no washcloths anywhere and no dishcloths. I am disappointed because we will be going to that area frequently and the location was perfect to getting to our daughter’s place.

You'll feel removed from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being a short ride from stores and shops and outdoor activities that are only 15-20 minutes away. Family and pet friendly!
This updated house includes dining for 6-indoor or outdoor, grill, views, wildlife, updated amenities, tv, fast wireless internet, washer/dryer and plenty of sunshine!

We had an excellent family weekend at this location. The proximity to fossil beds, cripple creek & eleven mile canyon was great. We spent the days exploring the area and the evenings enjoying the extremely well equipped cabin.

Great location for us. Close to Cripple creek and several other nearby small towns. Great retreat from the hustle and bustle of Denver. We grilled burgers and porkchops on the 2 evenings here and loved dining on the big back deck. Owner had a spare propane bottle if needed which I thought was an awesome bonus. We will return again.
