In Greek, kalon means "beautiful" or "pleasant," and Villa Kalon truly embodies this. Set in a vibrant, elevated location above Rethymno, this eco-friendly villa combines modern luxury with nature, offering a peaceful retreat just a short walk from the sandy beach and close to the citys shops, cafes, and restaurants. Solar panels supply clean energy, and central heating ensures comfort year-round.
Spanning three levels and 300 m2, Villa Kalon can accommodate up to 11 guests in five beautifully designed bedrooms. The interiors feature a calm palette of whites and natural tones, fine wooden furnishings, and top-of-the-line appliances, creating a relaxing, sophisticated atmosphere. Surrounded by two acres of olive trees, the villa offers stunning sea and city views.

Villa Kalon is stunning and was a cornerstone of our vacation in Crete. Our extended family of nine stayed at Villa Kalon, including 2 grandparents and a young toddler. This property worked well for us. As we arranged our trip, Eteri the management company and Theodoris the owner were easy to communicate with and provided great recommendations. Theodoris welcomed us to the home and was a wonderful host. Villa Kalon is located on a hill, to provide for the unmatched views. We loved the proximity to town (grocery stores, restaurants, and beach), the pool design with sun beds, the play area, the full sliding windows for the view, the large dining areas indoor and outdoor, and the patio to relax. We paid to have the pool heated during our stay and that was a good decision for comfort. We rented two vehicles and there was great parking space at the Villa. There are no bedrooms on the main floor. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with balcony view and 1 bedroom suite downstairs in the main home. It also has an attached full apartment w a kitchen / living area (with access to the large back patio and view) and bedroom downstairs - this bedroom has a hot tub in the space. Although beautiful, our group chose not to use this space due to stairs and hot tub. The town of Rethmyno had much to offer for restaurants, the harbor, beach activities, and is centrally located on the island for site seeing. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Villa Kalon and we would love to stay there again! 5 stars!

Villa Kalon was a perfect place for our adult family of eight. Lots of space, well equipped and in a great location. Thodoris was very responsive and nothing was too much trouble.
