This charming little pale blue building is typical of old Lisbon.
It is composed of 3 apartments.
ESTEVAO III is a charming duplex with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is ideally located in the heart of the historic district of Alfama. This charming duplex on 2 levels very comfortable is perfect for a family or friends. It is ideally located in the district of Alfama, the oldest, most alive and most picturesque of Lisbon! Inextricable labyrinth of staircases, staircases and alleys, the Alfama does not describe itself, it moods, smells, feels and dreams to the sound of the fado. You can visit many of Lisbon's sights on foot in less than 15 minutes and transport (bus, taxi, train station, tram ...) are all within 5 minutes.
The 40 m² apartment has:
Duplex
• Attic bedroom with a real bed for 2 people and a real bed for 1 person. And an umbrella bed
• A modern bathroom with shower and toilet.
• A superb view of the Taje.
1st level
• A bedroom with a real bed for 2 people, a TV, a DVD player, a wardrobe and a French balcony overlooking a charming alcove in typical Portuguese Azulejos.
• A dining area with a table for 4 people
• An equipped kitchen composed of a washing machine, a coffee maker, a refrigerator, an oven, a toaster, electrical plates, a kettle and all the necessary of kitchen with a bottom of groceries (salt, sugar, coffee, spices ...) • WIFI internet connection, hairdryer, iron and ironing board
• Towels and sheets are provided. Your bed will be made upon your arrival!
It is on the 2nd and last floor without elevator of a small building typical of 3 apartments only (all rentable on this site) located in a quiet alley and not accessible to cars. You have access to the entire housing. You will be warmly welcomed and we will be at your disposal throughout your stay. The district of Alfama is the oldest, the most alive and the most typical district of Lisbon. Inextricable labyrinth of staircases, staircases and alleys, the Alfama does not describe itself, it moods, smells, feels and dreams to the sound of the fado. One can walk there all night without the slightest risk, with any company of starved cats and complaints of the fadistas - the Alfama houses the best clubs of fado of the city. When thirst hugs you, sit on the terrace of a tiny tavern, old fashioned.
It is ideally located in a quiet alley and not accessible to cars in the Alfama district, the oldest, most lively and most picturesque of Lisbon!
Inextricable maze of dead ends, stairs and alleyways, Alfama can not be described, it sniffs, smells, feels and dreams to the sound of fado.
You can visit many of Lisbon's sights on foot in less than 15 minutes and transport (bus, taxi, train station, tram ...) are all within 5 minutes.
The decor is modern and neat.
You can leave your luggage nearby (Santa Appolonia Train Station) if you arrive before check in.
SPECIAL CASES: - Extra charge of 30 € for a check-in between 21h30 and 24h every day; - Extra charge of 45 € for a check-in between 24h and 8h30 every day; - Extra charge of 25 € for a check-in on weekends and Portuguese holidays between 8:30 and 21:30. Check-ins from Monday to Friday from 16h to 21h30 are free of charge, except for Portuguese public holidays.

We stayed at the apartment for a week while staying in Lisbon. The property was clean when we arrived and check in instructions were clear and accurate.
The beds were comfy, and the water pressure was very good.
The area is nice too, central and full of culture especially during Santos populares celebrations in June (when we went), lots of busy streets and stalls.
We struggled with the lack of air con in the room during our stay (we didn't realise when booking, our mistake) while the 2 bedrooms had fans they were both quite old and one was missing the front cover.
The only other thing was that a TV was listed in the description and this was not accurate, however it did not affect our stay.
We did find we had to go and buy more toilet roll.
overall we enjoyed our stay but mainly struggled with no air-conditioning/ decent fans, especially in the upstairs bedroom and in the kitchen where there are no windows.
Thank you for our stay and we loved lisbon!

Very centrally located within walking distance to most attractions and the tram. Be prepared for stairs, lots of them. This is Lisbon, a walkable city.

A Hidden Gem for FamiliesI booked this property located in the Alfama district of Lisbon with little to no knowledge of the city. We lucked out. The host was extremely accommodating, with clear instructions on how to access the property, and a literal book of sights to see, food to try, and experiences to be had during our stay.If you want to feel like a local on your stay, this is the spot. Tight streets, restaurants around every narrow corner. And by day two you’ll see a host of familiar faces on your walk to and from the apartment. The streets of Alfama are cobblestone and winding, but even with my wife’s recently injured knee and my kids both under the age of 8 years old, trekking through the neighborhood was part of the magical adventure.Highly recommend spending your nights in the Fado houses in the neighborhood.

Location is excellent except for young people across from the apartment outside playing guitars and singing at 3 or 4 AM every night. Not a great sleep. Dust coating the fans and mold on the shower. Can’t be claustrophobic in this place!
