Welcome to La Nouvelle—an intimate retreat on the wild west coast of São Miguel Island. As part of Canto do Mar, a boutique property with three independent homes, your stay offers a deeply personal experience where the ocean is always within sight.
Inside, soft, natural light fills the bright and inviting living spaces, highlighted by high, wood-beamed ceilings and clean, contemporary decor. The home was thoughtfully designed for tranquility and comfort, creating a seamless connection to the stunning natural surroundings.
Your home away from home features:
Two Serene Bedrooms: Dressed in soft linens and designed for slow mornings and restful nights.
Inviting Living Area: Framed by large windows that open directly to the ocean, letting in the soothing sounds of the waves.
Fully Equipped Kitchen: Prepare fresh meals using modern appliances to enjoy on your private terrace.
Private Sunset Terrace: Your front-row seat for sunset dinners, stargazing, or simply watching the sea.
Modern Comforts: Enjoy the convenience of air conditioning and an in-unit washer/dryer.
Family-Friendly: A crib, high chair, and baby bath are available upon request.
Self Check-In: We offer a convenient and private self-guided check-in process. Full instructions will be provided prior to your arrival.
Amenities Provided: We provide all necessary bed linens, towels, and kitchen utensils for your stay.
Our Team: The Azores Butler team is available to assist with anything you need to make your stay perfect.

We keep things simple — just a few rules to help ensure a comfortable stay for everyone:
• No smoking inside the house. If you smoke, please do so outside.
• Garbage: please do not leave trash inside. Use the public bins nearby.
• Save energy: turn off the lights whenever you leave the house.
• Respect the neighbors: quiet hours in Portugal are from 23:00 to 7:00. You’re on holiday, but people around you are not — thank you for being considerate.
• Safety first: always lock the door when entering or leaving the house.
• No pets allowed.
• No parties or events are allowed.
• Towels: white towels are for bathroom use only. Please avoid stains and do not take them outside. Blue beach towels are available if needed.

Absolute Magic! An Unforgettable Azorean EscapeOur stay at La Nouvelle (part of the beautiful Canto do Mar property) was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the sweeping, panoramic views of the Atlantic. The house is elegantly designed, filled with soft, natural light, and the perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional island charm.The two bedrooms were incredibly serene with high-quality, cozy linens, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our absolute favorite part was the private terrace. We spent every evening out there, after our daily treks across the island, enjoying a glass of wine while watching the waves.The location in Mosteiros is unbeatable. It’s a peaceful village, and we loved being just a short walk from the natural volcanic swimming pools, the black sand beach, and great little local seafood spots. It was also the perfect base camp for exploring Sete Cidades and Ferraria.A huge thank you to Samuel and the Azorian Butler team! They were discreet, highly attentive, and gave us wonderful local recommendations. The self-guided check-in was seamless, and the shared coastal garden was such a tranquil retreat. If you want a place where time slows down and you can truly connect with the ocean, this is it. We cannot wait to return!
