With two levels of panoramic windows looking out over miles of pristine beaches found nowhere else in the Great Northwest, the Shoreline Beach House is the perfect vacation getaway that you have been looking for! Just walk out your door to some of the most gorgeous beaches and magnificent sunsets of orange, gold and pink right on the Florence Oregon Coast!
This outstanding 2-story home comes complete with just about all of the amenities and appointments that you will need for your stay. If you don’t feel like cooking, the Shoreline Beach House is just a short stroll from Surfside Restaurant at the Driftwood Shores Resort.
The Shoreline Beach House is located on Heceta Beach, this one-of-a-kind coastline offers miles and miles of pristine beaches as far as the eye can see. For those who love the sand, bring your quads and ATVs to the sand dunes just a couple minutes south of town. Visit Old Town Florence and explore the wonderful bistros, restaurants, galleries, and shops along Bay Street. Just a few minutes north along the coast and you’ll find the world famous and often photographed Heceta Head Lighthouse as well as Sea Lion Caves! For the avid fisherman, bring your boats and watercraft and test your skills on one of the 27 lakes in the Florence area sporting some of the best trophy bass. Still trying to land that trophy steelhead, well don’t forget salmon season on the Siuslaw River.
Heceta Beach:
A beautiful long sandy beach that's a popular location for families and leisurely beach strolls. Walk south toward the Harbor Vista Park and Jetty or North beyond the Driftwood shores restaurant for a more private stroll while looking for whales and other sea life or combing the sand for sea shells and enjoying the incredible scenery of the majestic Oregon Coast.
The Heceta Beach Lane County Park is the most “official” entrance to this beautiful beach and located just steps out your front door. A wide path just beyond the parking area leads to the sand and ocean.
Heceta Head Lighthouse:
Situated high above the Pacific Ocean on the rugged Heceta Head outcropping is one of the most popular and inspirational sites on the Oregon Coast; and it is only about 10 scenic miles north of Florence. It is a must-see among must-sees here in Oregon’s Coastal Playground. One of the most beautiful, and most photographed lighthouses in the world.
Since March 30, 1894, from its perch 205 feet above the ocean, this 56-foot-tall working lighthouse has cast its beam more than 20 miles out to sea, making it the brightest light on the Oregon coast.
Throughout its intriguing and colorful past, the lighthouse watched over many attending families, safely guided passing personal, commercial, and military vessels, oversaw the construction of Highway 101, hosted a WWII military outpost and Lane Community College’s satellite campus, and blessed many a wedding ceremony.
The lighthouse underwent a major, and historically accurate, restoration between 2011 and 2013.
The leisurely walk to the lighthouse is a quarter-mile uphill from the inn, which itself is a quarter mile from the public parking area. There is an interpretive center and gift shop with books, souvenirs, and other themed items as you begin the walk from the inn to the lighthouse.
Heceta Head Lighthouse is 11 miles north at Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. Day use parking is $5 or is covered by a $35 Oregon Coast Passport permit available at state parks.
Parking: Room for at least 6 vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Slight Uphill gravel road driveway!

Great property. Only drawback was it was difficult to see the scenery through the salt covered windows. Perhaps have them cleaned more frequently.

It's an older home but with an incredible location, plenty of room for a large family. It's a bit dated as you can see in photos but the upstairs bed was comfortable for my wife and I. There is a good sized driveway if you have a truck and trailer like we did but we were surprised how steep and narrow the driveway is, if you have a large enclosed trailer you would struggle getting in and out. The beach access is what makes it all worth while, and it feels like going to visit Grandma's house, it might be older and simpler but it's cozy and comfortable.

Location is amazing! Good space for a large group. Unfortunately, we only had enough had hot water for 1 two minute shower, then had to wait 30+ minutes for the next shower which had the same issue … and all showers thereafter. Called the service and they said it’s a small tank. The Mattresses on first floor feel like they are original to the house - they need to be replaced for a good night sleep. Walk the beach - it’s beautiful.
