The Haven is a much loved Cotswold holiday home which sleeps four guests, in two inviting bedrooms, with one bathroom. This duplex apartment is laid out across the first and second floor of a beautiful Grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century. Many of the charming period features have been retained with exposed wooden beams, high ceilings and stunning sash windows throughout. The spacious sitting room boasts ample seating areas with sumptuous sofas and pretty window seats, ideal for relaxing after a long day exploring the diverse array of attractions across the Cotswolds. On warmer days, the private patio makes for a lovely spot to soak up the sunshine. Furnished in a contemporary yet comfortable style, The Haven is perfect to share with family or friends, living up to its name, providing a true haven in bustling Chipping Norton!

This two bedroom holiday home in Chipping Norton is ideally suited for a family break or get together wth friends to explore the many charms of the North Cotswolds. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

The Haven is accessed via an external staircase
Sitting room
Two three-seater sofas, large sash windows with window seats, Smart TV with apps (account holders only) and bookcase with selection of books
Kitchen/dining room
Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, washing machine, dining table seating four and door leading to terrace
Bedroom 2 (Sleeps 2)
King size bed (can be two 75cm wide single beds on request)

Primary bedroom (Sleeps 2)
Super king size bed (can be two single beds on request), chest of drawers, two chairs and mirror

The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)
Please note the Chipping Norton Mop Fair takes place on the high street outside the property over the 3rd week of September. However, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking
Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)
Off street parking is available for up to 1 medium sized car
1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

We stayed for two nights with our family of four (one 10 month old and one three year old) and were very comfortable in The Haven. The stairs up to the unit, as well as the stairs to the bathroom and second bedroom were quite narrow, but luckily our eldest was able to maneuver them without problem. Everything was as depicted in the photographs and everything was nice and clean upon arrival. Overall, we had a great stay and would gladly stay here again were we to return to Chipping Norton. There are nice pubs, cafes and shops within walking distance from the unit, and the parking spot was a relief to have.

The apartment couldn’t be in a better location and is a great space for two couples. Comfy sofas, relaxed open plan, great location to get to all parts of the Cotswolds. The only thing I would note is the noise level at night/morning due to location. As it’s a gorgeous period building the windows are single glazed and being on the main high street/route through there was really loud traffic noise most of the night, if you’re a light sleeper I would take this into consideration, I’d also say the main bedroom bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows are super thin, so if these aren’t replaced I’d recommend bringing your own.

The place once we found it was lovely. Spotlessly clean and as described.
Directions should state that the entrance mentioned is to the back of the property and not from the high street. Even using what three words we were not originally directed that way. A good old fashioned description would help.
The parking space is down a tight lane. If you have a large car don’t even attempt parking there as the turning circle is small.
The lock to from street entrance was broken, it would open from the property side but not the street. We checked and the latch wasn’t moving when using the outside handle, this was reported so will hopefully be fixed for the next visitor.
The Blue Boar opposite is a great pub if that’s what floats your boat.

We loved the Haven, so cosy and homely.
Perfect location, the only negative is the car park very hard to get in and out but we managed it.
Would 100 percent book again.
