Please note that Palmetto bugs are a common occurrence in Beaufort and the surrounding Lowcountry region. Due to the area’s humid climate and proximity to marshlands, these insects may occasionally be seen indoors, particularly during periods of high humidity or after heavy rainfall. Palmetto bugs are a natural part of the local environment and are not the same as cockroaches. Their presence does not indicate a lack of cleanliness or an infestation. The property is professionally cleaned and treated regularly by a licensed pest control service to minimize their occurrence.
We are available via the platform app for any questions you may have. In case of an urgent emergency please call 911.
*TRAVEL INSURANCE HIGHLY ADVISED* - There will be no refunds for weather, natural disasters, power outages, personal matters, or other things that are beyond our control. Please protect your trip by purchasing Travel Insurance.
Please Note: Normal wear and tear is to be expected in any lived-in space, including vacation rentals. Our listing clearly outlines what is and isn’t provided so guests can book with confidence. Unless there is clear damage to the property or your stay was significantly impacted by an issue, we do not offer refunds for completed stays. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a fair hosting environment for all.
IMPORTANT Note for USMC Graduation Guests:
If you are booking dates for a Marine Corps graduation, we highly recommend reserving the night of graduation as well. Guests are not typically permitted to bring all luggage onto base, and vehicle checks can cause delays or complications.
While we do our best to accommodate military families coming to support their Marine, please note that we cannot guarantee luggage storage after checkout on graduation day. Additionally, early check-ins and late checkouts are not always possible due to our cleaning team’s schedule and back-to-back reservations. Our cleaners manage multiple properties, and we want to ensure each home is perfectly prepared for every guest.
Thank you for your understanding, and congratulations on your Marine’s achievement!
We expect to not be negatively reviewed for anything communicated accurately here.

We loved this cottage! It was charming and spacious. We had 2 adults and 4 teenagers. Everyone had a great time. The location was within 10 minutes of our activities. Wonderful place for a great price. Next time we are in Beaufort, we hope to stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Maddie was so nice to check in on us throughout our stay. Check in was a breeze.

Our stay at Maddie’s was great! We were beyond pleased with the home itself, beautifully decorated and it really felt like home while still being very accommodating. We especially appreciated the little thoughtful touches throughout, like detergent for both laundry and dishes, extra throw blankets, and a box fan for added comfort. An unexpectedly thoughtful detail we noticed was a cane stored in the bathroom closet.Parking was also great. We came as a group of 6 adults and one toddler (the high chair was a bonus!), and with three cars there was plenty of space to park and come and go with ease. The location was perfect. It sits right at the edge of historic downtown with great views nearby. It was easy to get around both on foot and by car, just a few short minutes to everything. Despite being so close to town, the neighborhood still felt quiet and had friendly neighbors. One really nice surprise was the included park pass, something we may have missed at booking. It allowed us to enjoy the incredible natural beauty of Hunting Island State Park at no additional cost, which was such a treat.Overall, we could tell a lot of thought, care, and attention went into this rental. We’d absolutely stay again without hesitation!
