A restored centuries-old property, full of soul and character, set in the heart of historic Alfama, Lisbon’s most authentic and picturesque neighbourhood.
Many of the city’s best-known monuments, traditional restaurants and fado houses are just a short walk away.
Ideal for families and groups, the apartment accommodates up to 12 guests and includes two independent apartments in the same building, both exclusively reserved for your group:
• Ground floor, with a separate entrance: one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and private patio.
The upper apartment is arranged over four floors, connected by an open internal staircase:
• First floor: two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds) and one bathroom.
• Second floor: two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds) and one bathroom.
• Third floor: one bedroom with a double bed, one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area.
• Fourth floor: a bright and spacious living room with a sofa and armchairs, opening onto one of Alfama’s largest private rooftop terraces. With plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view together, it is the perfect setting for breakfast, sunset drinks or a peaceful evening overlooking Alfama’s rooftops.

Bathed in natural light, the interiors are rich in traditional Portuguese character. Large windows, classic iron balconies, decorative ceilings, vintage furniture, Portuguese tiles, golden details and crystal chandeliers create a distinctive and welcoming atmosphere.
Original oil paintings appear throughout the property, from canvases to painted furniture. Lines from poems, songs and fado lyrics add a unique touch, creating an immersive setting inspired by art, music and literature.
Bed linen, towels, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion are provided. Amenities include Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning, a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, coffee machine, toaster and hairdryer. The apartment is also equipped with an alarm system and a safe.
Self check-in is available, with access codes sent before arrival. Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability, at no extra cost.
Please note that the apartment is arranged over several floors, connected by open staircases, and has no lift. It is therefore not suitable for guests with reduced mobility and may not be suitable for young children.
The property is located on a narrow pedestrian-only street. The nearest taxi or ride-hailing drop-off point is in front of the Fado Museum, approximately a 3-minute walk away.

8 people could spread out and have space. Nice meeting area and balcony. Steps are tight and steep so need to have good mobility. Nice cafes very close. A/C very good.

We loved our stay here. There were eight of us (four couples), so we appreciated the size and number of bathrooms. We fell in love with the Alfama neighborhood - it's not the "city center," so you do a bit more walking to get places, but we loved the location. We had no trouble getting to other parts of the city. Host was responsive, and the listing was as-advertised. Would absolutely stay again.
