Great food nearby. Nijo castle right across the street! This place was amazing, quiet, clean, very comfortable, and the staff were fabulous.

The stay was wonderful and really gave us a great experience for Japanese living! Especially the futons and tatami, were very comfortable. Host is very responsive and kind, and answered all our questions promptly.

The house is beautifully renovated to both preserve the details of a traditional Kyoto townhouse --garden, ofuro, fusuma, tatami, etc--but equally modernized to make our family of 11 totally comfortable. Loved it
