Built in 1936, our Apple Court home has been lovingly, accurately restored, decorated, and furnished to 1930s styles. Owned and operated solely by the Greendale Historical Society, we have added modern amenities such as flat screen TV, WiFi, A/C, fully functional kitchen, and modern bathrooms.
Stroll the nearby paths to discover the history of Greendale, built in the 1930s Great Depression. One of only three "Greenbelt Communities" Greendale was built to provide jobs and housing for moderate income families.
In just two years, thousands of previously unemployed workers built 572 living units. Over 100 families moved in the first two weeks of May, 1938. By design, the homes were built close to the street or court. This allowed the living room to be located at the other side of the house facing the yard and its picturesque views.

Such a nice historic property. The homeowner was very comfortable and quiet. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Greendale.

Great location. Greendale is a great place and a very quiet downtown area. The house was very historic and lots of information on the house and area.

Amenities were plentiful and the Christmas tree made us feel so much better!

We enjoyed the experiencevof this lovely historic home. However, as we entered the home it smelled extremely musty throughout. Therefore we needed to open windows to try and air it out. To our dismay several of the window sills were full of dead flies and trapped live flies which entered the room . We would love to stay again but we recommend airing out the unit and cleaning window sills.
